I need help from someone who know how to get bruises on there hand (link)
|
Hi, I wouldn't suggest actually causing bruises on your hands with physical pain... But if you want bruises, go find some purple, yellow, blue and/or green eyeshadow and make some yourself with makeup. You can use cheaper makeup from a dollar store or you can go get higher quality makeup from Walmart or Sephora if you want.
Then, take a fluffy powder brush or shadow brush and blend the colors - start with one color then slowly blending in the other colors all around one area of your hand, one at a time. It doesn't have to be perfect; bruises are pretty random colors. You can make a very realistic bruise with eyeshadows, trust me; people will think it's real. Spray it with makeup setting spray if you want it to last all day/days.
*Note* if you want it to last even longer, use an eye primer as the base before you even apply any colors to your hands. That'll make it last extra long. If any rubs off, just reapply some colors.
Hope this helped; feel free to message me if you have any other questions

I’ve been working at this restaurant for a few weeks. The assistant managers have been complaining about me to the manager (I’ve overheard their convo’s complaining). The manager told me i was doing a good job, but the assistant managers haven’t liked me from the beginning, now the manager is acting funny. They were complaining because I asked questions about my tasks during training the week. Isn’t that what training is for? To learn? I do all of my tasks and when they when I was done, I asked if they needed anything else done. I restock the food, clean the area, etc without asking. But sometimes the prep team needs help with dishes or something. Last week they gave me TEN hours and sent me home early so I only got seven. This week I only got FOUR hours. I was supposed to work Saturday, but the manager said that it was a slow day and i shouldn’t come. I texted him and never got a response. I suspect that the assist managers didn’t want me to come in. I’m very respectful, but quiet and don’t like drama.
Just wondering if anyone has had something similar happen and would like to tell me how they dealt with the situation. Do they want me to quit? (link)

Hi,
I work in the restaurant industry as well and some of my co-workers talk bad about me behind my back as well... First off, ignore the people who are complaining about you. People will talk behind your back most the time in life and you can't take it to heart; let it go. If it is concerning you, just go to the head boss and say "hey, I can hear the assistant manager complaining when I'm doing my job and I don't appreciate it". If the head boss says they'll deal with it, let them deal with it and continue working the way you are. If the head boss agrees with whatever the assistant managers are saying about you, tell that boss it isn't true and you don't appreciate it. Then, give it a week or 2. If the head boss doesn't change anything, go tell them nothing has changed. It is not up to you to deal with the assistant manager, it is the head bosses job to make sure you're being treated fairly in your workplace.
Training is to learn - but unfortunately not everyone gets trained properly. Teach yourself if you have to or keep asking questions until you know the answer: that is the only way you'll learn and it's the bosses job to help you. Though, you sound like you are a good worker and the assistant manager is just lazy... That is their bosses fault, not yours. Ask the head boss what your daily tasks are and explain the assistant isn't helping you. The boss is the ruler here and what they say overrules anything the assistant says when it comes to your work. If the assistant blames you, tell the boss again that you're being treated unfairly. It all comes down to confronting the problem head on - talking to the assistant. Then if that doesn't work, talk to their boss... And so on and so on. Someone should help you and if they don't after a couple weeks, I wouldn't stay there.
I don't believe they want you to quit, I think the assistant needs to learn how to assist. Ironic, I know.
As for the hours: 10 hours isn't too terrible but if you want more than 4 - speak up! Tell the manager you'd like more hours. If they say they can't give you any more, ask why. Sometimes businesses will only want to give you a certain amount of hours and if they're not willing to budge, find a compromise like saying you'll work extra for a wage increase or pick up shifts from other workers.
My friend is working a job right now where he can get anywhere from 6-10 hours a week and he just keeps it to make a little extra $. Personally I wouldn't do it because there's better $ jobs... But he likes it so he keeps it for fun. It's his life so he can do what he wants.
Ultimately, if you're not happy at this job, there's plenty of other jobs that will offer you more hours. Do what makes you happy :) but always remember: never quit unless you've already started again.
Hope this helps!

My manager helped me apply the bandage really tight. But it’s still bleeding about 3 hours later and I’m home. It cut right into my nail and a deep piece of skin came off. I ran it under water and it kept bleeding, i couldn’t put neosporin on it. It’s started bleeding again when i took off the bandage to change it. I work in a restaurant and it was my fault. It happened when i was cutting a sandwich. (link)

Hi,
I did the same thing to my finger last week... Oops! I work in a restaurant too.
Just keep putting pressure on it until it stops bleeding, even if it feels like a long time to hold it. Keep holding it for at least 15/20 minutes... Longer if you have to! Most cuts will eventually clot and stop bleeding.
If that doesn't stop it, go to the first aid kit/a pharmacy and ask about a blood clotter/gauze for wounds. They'll be able to help you.
For myself, I was able to find a fast clotting powder called woundseal in our first aid kit and that stopped mine. Follow the directions on the package; You'll be ok.
Hope this helps for next time, if you have already solved this problem.
P.s.
I even cut off a part of my nail as well - but it stopped with the woundseal without having to go to the hospital :)
