I have a Maine Coon cat that I recently took to the veterinarian for a check-up, really. I just wanted to make sure my Maine Coon cat was healthy. :)
The Vet looked at my Maine Coon cat and did a few swabs and such. They told me that my Maine Coon cat had worms! It was okay though because they gave me some cat dewormer, and enough cat dewormer in case this happened again.
I was wondering something very strange though. Can I get worms from my Maine Coon cat? The cat has obviously had these more than just today so do I need to find some sort of dewormer for me to use too? (link)

I'm sure you can, but i would just make an appointment with my doctor, and talk to him/her. Or contact your local vet and im sure they would give you an appropriate answer.

I want a small pet. I was thinking of, geril, hamster, ferret, sugar glider, chinchilla... Ferrets I heard can be aggressive, shed too much. Hamsters may not be personable enough for me. Chinchillas and SUgar Gliders Are adorable but I do not know much about them as pets. I want a pet that will sleep and poop in there own cage. A pet I can take out daily and spend some time with him/her. A pet that will be friendly and is legal to have as a pet in canada. Any ideas of which small pet I should get and what store in toronto would sell it? Thanks (link)

I had a domesticated rat when i was a child and he never bit once and i put him through hell lol i remember putting him into my barbie convertible and whizzing him around. When i got older i did have a sugar glider and mine was MEAN. The males are less aggressive. i got mine from a pet store, so if you are interested i would get one from a breeder, and not a pet shop. My mother recently got two of them from a breeder, and they love people and attention, and are very well tempered. A ferret on the other hand, you can get a leash and walk them like a dog, the stink glad should also be removed. They love to dig, but on the down side they poop all the time, and you have to clean their cage at least once a day. I had a friend who dug in the ground and put a layer of plastic down and put the dirt back, and built chicken wire around the area, with obstacles and hammocks.

I have a pug that is almost a year old, but not quite and I was just wondering if there is anything that I can do with my pug to keep it active, besides playing tug-a-war,walking it,and playing fetch. And maybe something we can do together that will make us 'bond' more as owner and pet. (link)

My neighbor takes his pug (trouble) to Pug Night. A bunch of pug owners go like once a week. From what i hear trouble has a blast. You should research to see if there is one in your area, I'm sure you will benefit from it as well.

I have a six year old dog, who is refusing to eat, she is barely drinking. She will not walk on her own, as her body is very weak. She is vomiting, and has thrown up blood. She will randomly shake, and she is loosing weight only in her neck area, and legs. Yet, she has not shown any sign of pain.
Can anyone tell me what may be wrong with her, or even what would cause these things? (link)

You need to take her to the vet, IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!!!! Dogs dont show their pain like we do, im sure she is hurting. She cant fill out paper work and go to the vet by herself. If you refuse to take her to the vet and she dies, that can be considered animal cruelty/abuse, and you can be fined or even given jail time.

so i adopted a dog maybe like a month ago? and
she came from a puppy mill, so she had like a liter or two of puppies. shes a bichon/poodle, shes about two years old and shes very sweeet and tiny.
since puppymills abuse puppys and treat them like crap, shes very scared of everything. she found trust in my mom before everyone else so she follows her EVERYWHERE. and every little noise she hears she starts barking and growling. my dad got soo mad yesterday cause he cant take it anymore that he seriously started screaming. i thought it wad just one of those fases he goes through when he gets mad, but i guess not becuase i woke up this morning and my mom told me she is waiting for the lady who runs the adopting thing to call her back. which obviously means were giving her back. and ive been crying my eyes out because of it.
is there any way we can get her to stop barking. i know some people spray there puppies when there bad, but its hard to do things to her becuase she gets scared so easily. i neeed help ! i want to keep her and im afraid i wont get to :[ (link)

Well, i dont mean to be a butthead, but maybe you are being selfish and not realizing it. Puppy mills are very bad, and she needs the right family that can understand her special needs. If your dad is getting frustrated then you should find the right pet together. Or maybe you can research puppy mills and other pets from puppy mills, and help your father understand that dogs can suffer from abuse and trauma, just like a human, and all that she needs is gental love and trust. most times the pet adopts us.

so i bought canine carry outs bac'n bites
i dont know if i should feed it to my chiuaua
is it safe can i feed her it (link)

Just dont feed her too much of at one time, because it could give her an upset tummy. Maybe introduce her slowly, and break them in half or in thirds.

I have 2 gerbils, and I love them very much. I really want to get more, but my mom and dad won't let me because I sometimes forget to feed them. I notice in a day or 2, and they never eat a lot of food anyway, so there's no harm, but my parents are still set in stone. How can I convince them? (link)

My parents used to breed Yorkshires, and i always wanted to have my own puppy, so they devised a plan. They got me a pet rat (named mickey mouse). They said if i proved myself responsible then i could have my own puppy. Mickey mouse died about 4 yrs later, and i got my puppy (Lexy). I was sad that mickey was gone, but i was so proud of myself. Maybe you should sit down and devise some time of responsibility payment plan? And maybe try to feed them another type of food, and i'm sure they would love some alph alpha or your vegetable table scraps.

I adopted a 7 year old cat in mid-november. She pooped on the floor a few times during the first month, but lately has been doing it more often. The weird thing is that she also poops in her litter box, actually she poops there most of the time. It's just every once in awhile (and more often lately) that she leaves her droppings just outside her litter box, or very nearby. A few rare times she has also pooped in the kitchen on the rug. Why is she doing this? How can I get her to stop? She uses her litter box for pooping and urinating, so why the random droppings? (link)
|
Do you know anything about her past? Maybe she used to be an outside cat where she could defecate anywhere. The litter in the litter box has a scent that attracts her instinctively. That or she is getting a little old and she can't hold long enough, or it could be medical. Maybe take her for a check up at the vet.
