Im 23 and from Canada. I feel ive had kinda a tough life and have experience in almost any problem you can think of. Feel free to ask me anything!

advice

do you ever feel like you dont fit in with your friends? well i do and like there all a little different than me. well me and my 2 best friends are pretty much the popularist girls in our grade. My best friend Katie is in love with a guy who already has a girlfriend of 1year and hes cheating on his girlfriend Kim with Katie and its been going on for 2months now or so and hes causing her a lot of pain with hiding behinde Kims back and shes been cutting her wrists i tell her not to do it but she says she cant help it and everytime she does it she promises she will never do it again and everytime she breaks the promise and i cant get mad at her or stop being her friend bc that would lead her into even more pain bc weve been friends since we were 7 and were 15 now. and my other best friend kristi is somewhat wild. and then theres me. were all honor students and everything but sometimes i just dont think i fit in. .. will this be a feeling that will go away? i dont have love life problems i dont get "too wild" i dk maybe im just feeling a little weird who knows .. please help!!

I feel the exact same way sometimes. I think everyone does at one point or another. Lots of people get confused with who they are and think they dont typically fit in just becasue there not the same as everyone else.
Maybe you feel like you dont fit in with your friends maybe because you feel like you dont want to deal with what they deal with, like katie. Clearly katie has problems which she should ask a doctor/teacher/guidance counsellor about, and should stop messing around with a guy whos got a girlfriend. I can see how you would think you dont fit in with someone like katie or even kristi because shes wild. Its ok if your not wild. When i was in highschool my best friend was really wild, she was all into drugs and drinking adn boys and i felt like i didnt fit in with her but then i realized that life goes on after highschool, you dont have to hang out with the same people all the time if you dont feel that you have alot in common with them. Try to find other friends that you feel you have more in common with but remember you dont have to give up your other friends. Theres enough of you to go around and you can hang out with all different people. Im still best friends with the girl i was talking about before and we only see each other maybe once a week or less. Just because you dont see someone all the time doesnt mean your not really good friends. Seriously try to meet some other new people or hang out with other people that you already know, you'll feel alot better about it, trust me. I really really like this guy but when he found out my fealings he sed he wanted me only as a friend cuz he wanted to get someone "fresh" when he gets in high school... but i've liked him since 2 grade or even befor that! he's really one of my best buds.i know how he feels but if i see him with someone else.. omg i dunno what i'll do! is there some way i can get him to like me?.. some way he could change his mind!?? help please!

You cant make someone like you. But you can make them see what an awesome person you are. Just be really nice to him and do stuff for him. It will be really hard to see him with other girls but im sure you can do it. He'll come around and he'll eventually see that you two should be together. When he breaks up with some dumb slutty chick who do you think hes gonna come to? YOU! Just be there for him and try to make him see that your so much better for him then any other girl. Be really fun! Guys like fun.
Your just gonna have to be patient hun. But dont worry one day he will realize that he could have a best friend and girlfriend all in one!

i've known him like forever, hes my bestfriend since we ran in diapers. recently ive noticed that whenever hes around me, my heart just pounds like crazy. i dont know why i feel that way.. i fear that i might be falling for him! if i do, what if he doesnt accept my love? i dont want our friendship to end if our relationship doesnt work out.. please help

Tell him how you feel. whats the worst that can happen? if he doesnt feel the same way then your just embarassed for a few days. If he does feel the same way then great. If you guys do start a relationship there is a chance that you could ruin the friendship but you will eventually be able to be friends again.
I fell in love with my best friend and we were together on and off for 3 years. It ended badly and we ended up not being friends but it was totally worth it. Your friendship will never be the same if the relationship doesnt work out but trust me its worth it cause were friends now !!

(14/f) i have a hard time getting along with girls. i only have 3 really close friends that are girls and 2 of them are changing alot and i'm begining not to like how they are acting lately. the majority of my friends are boys. i really can't stand being friends with girls! they always find a way to piss me off and with my guy friends... they are so much more easy going! my friend amanda she's been my best friend for about 3 years and she's the same way as me so i guess that's why we get along. but is there something wrong with me that i don't like being around girls and i just like being around guys??

theres nothing wrong with it at all. Since i was 12 ive only had 3 close friends that are girls. I cant stand girls, there so petty and bitchy and guys have way more fun. id rather hang out with the guys and work on cars or play video games then hang out at the mall with girls. Its totally normal for you to like to hang out with guys more. You probably just think girls are boring like i do! You can hang out with all the guys you want just know that as you grow up and get older you could end up getting feelings for some of your guy friends. Just try not to let it interfere with you friendship.
