Hola! The name's Caitlin, 20, college junior. Being an oddball myself, I love to give an encouraging word to those who are "different", but I'll awnser advice on anything.Tell me whatever you want. I'll awnser any question so long as it's sincere, and I'd really love the occaisonal joke or humerous post.
NOTE- If anyone here reads my column on a regular basis, you may notice that my feedback as dropped a bit suddenly. This is because I got a low L2 rating on a question I responded to. Please note that in general, I do pay strict attention to my grammar and such. I am an English major, after all. But at the time I was looking at that question, it was late at night, and I was tired. Focusing on giving what help I could, I didn't even notice the multiple spelling mistakes. Needless to say, I am rather upset at having my rating so damaged by this one event. Please realize that while I care deeply about the professional look of my responses, I care more about what I am SAYING. I'll try to be more observant in the future. Thank you.

okay so theres this holiday dance for the school on sunday. and i dont know what to wear. like me and my friends wanna do something good for it. another group of my friends are being christmas trees and another elves. what do you think me and a few of my friends should be? i was like thinking red n green with a santa hat? i dunno. lol please help! thanks so much (link)

How formal is this dance? Maybe a red blouse and greenish skirt? The santa hat idea is cute. Or maybe you could be reindeer and dress in brown with little fake antlears? Lol, Im not to good at the fashion stuff. Maybe you could talk to some other friends not going as elves or trees, and go as something else with them? Have fun!

look, i go to a british school, and next year i will have to choose my subjects for IGCSE? I am good at both history and Music, but i love music 100% more! the problem is my parents, who do not want me to take music. they feel that history would be much more scoring! but i really, REALLY, love music, and i am good! i learn the Piano, and will be taking grade 6 of the royal schools of msic exam, and i play the flute and the guitar as a hobby. PLEASE HELP ME!!

Gah! Gah! Where is my Siren Cytheria?, she'll be bound to have an opinin on this. As do I- go with your heart. Try telling your parents "If I take history, I will most likely end up in a field I dislike, and not try as hard, wehereas if I go into music, I should enjoy what I'm doing, try harder, and hopefully be successful" Remind your parents that they arn't you, and vice-versa. You are your own person, and should follow your dreams, not theirs.
