Hair is made up of dead keratin, so it can't heal itself. Your best bet is to slowly cut off the dead ends and start fresh. But in the mean time there are ways to make your hair appear to be "healthier".
Hot oil treatments- I personally don't recommend them for one reason. The oil molecule is simply too large to penetrate the hair shaft. All they do is leave a layer of oil on the outer hair shaft which does result in smoother hair but give it a day and you'll see what I mean. Instead, use a cream based, deep conditioner 2 times a week.
Get regular trims every 6-8 weeks to trim off the spilt ends
Cut back on blow drying
When blow-drying, force the air in he direction of your hair growth so you don't disturb the cuticle anymore then you have to.
Use gentle cleansing shampoos
Use daily conditioners and even better, use a leave-in conditioner as well
Rinse with cool water as your final rinse to close the cuticle and prevent further damage.
Keep use of heating products to a minimum if possible. And always use a styling product that specifically protects hair during heat process.
Scalp treatments can do wonders. Ask your Stylist if she offers this service. Not only does it stimulate hair growth and condition your hair, it feels great!
Use products that don't contain alcohol
Deep condition at least 2 times a week. Apply the conditioner to clean, damp hair. Put a shower cap on and hit it with the blow dryer. This will open up the cuticle and condition your hair better.
Avoid shampoos that are clear in color. These shampoos are refereed to as plain shampoos. Plain shampoos contain little to no moisturizer. Opt for a pearlized one that is made for dry, damaged hair. Shampoo is important but no as much as conditioner

Good luck!

does anybody have advice on how to get rid of undereye circles without using $100 products if u know what i mean? I already use concealer.i really need help i cant stand looking in the mirror and seeing a racoon looking back @ me LOL. (link)

Instead of using a normal concealer, try using a yellow concealer like Physicians Formula Magic Cube Concealer in yellow. The yellow color hides dark colors like undereye circles, scars, bruises, etc, and it's only $5.95 and available at your local Walgreens or Jewel. After you apply it under your eyes, cover it with your normal concealer and then dab powder matching your skin color on it to make it stay on all day.
also, if you want to draw the attention away from the under eye area, just apply mascara and eyeliner to the top lashes and avoid the bottom. Avoid brown eyeliners and shadows as they enhance under eye circles. Using lighter colours can give the effect of brighter, more open eyes. Remember too that using a white eyeliner will open your eyes, whereas the darker shades can create a more smoky and sensual effect.
You can reduce the darkness in the short term by applying slices of cold cucumber or cooled down teabags to the area.
