WHAT'S IN STYLE!?

15/f. (link)
Clothing
>Purples.
>Plaids. It ranges from bags, shirts, skirts ect;
>Chunky knits and sweater dresses.
>Skinnies are still popular. Boyfriend jeans and wide leg pants. (Don't get this confused with flares.)
>"Worn" looking leather. (Like with totes.)
>Turtlenecks. Especially black.
>Long cardigans and wrap arounds. Again being chunky knits and big buttons. Think "Granny-Inspired."
>Unique jewlery and odd rings. This has been in a while though.
>Ankle boots and tall flat boots.
>Oxford heels. I see these everywear.

Hair And Makeup
>Straight ironed hair is starting to die out. Braids and waves/curls are stylish.
>Purple eyeshadow and nude lips.

^They have excellent clothes that are really stylish. I know they are pricey, but just let them inspire you, so you can get look alikes. (That's what I do)

I don't have super long hair, slightly past my shoulders. But I don't just want to wear it down, it a pony, or in a bun every day. I want to have some cool original hair dos that take maybe less than 15 minutes to do. I just can't think of any on my own. Anyone have some cool ideas on what I could do? Thanks!!! (link)
I know you don't want to have it down, but I have to put this in ;)
Have a sort of 90s thing going on. If your hair is curly (if not add non-crunchy moouse and/or gel--scrunch) flip a section from one side over so your hair line isn't right down the middle of your scalp and done. It has volume and bouncy-ness(thats not a word, i know lol)

1)(look at DJ's hair-she's in the red if you don't watch the show)

Notice how the front section of her hair is slightly pinned back to add volume and not look flat.

2) Or leave it straight--flip and add hairspray to the front so it will stay in place (again look at DJ)

I don't think you have to have long hair for these, but you can always try them out on the weekend or something to see if you like it.

3) Now if these don't work you can try this:

All you need is a blowdryer, maybe even a difusser and a styling product.

Ok, if you hate all these then go to your salon and talk to a stylist about styles for your hair. Maybe even get a cut that will be easy to style and compliment your face.
Hope everything works out!!

ok. im starting highschool. and i'm not sure what to wear for the first day /week. i dont think we can wear tank tops, so yeah.

these are things i have in my closet..
-skinny jeans [dark ones and light ones]
-polos. [navy blue ones and maroon ones. i dont wear polos much..]
-skirts.
-regular jeans.
-black and white polka dot baby doll top. [thats really cute.]
-white shorts
-plaid shorts
-regular tshirts that just say like abercrombie or has a gumball machine on it. and stuff.
-this other cute hollister shirt, it has like a bow and stuff. its cute.

i have alottt of other clothes too. like stuff that all matches that stuff. i'm pretty sure i wanna wear the skinny jeans. the light ones, i roll up. and then the darker ones i keep down. i'm thinking of wearing the darker jeans. i dont knowww. what do most people wear on the first day?

[my mom wont let me get clothes right away, because when i switched to a public school in junior high, i kept changing my taste in styles.]

i mean i know what i like. like im into that whole california look. and i shop at places like urban behavior, a little h+m, abercrombie & fitch, hollister, forever 21, aeropostale, amercian eagle[kinda] places like that.

so any ideas? (link)
Since it's in September, it may still be warm. Dress accordingly to the weather. Some schools don't have A/C so you might not be comfortable wearing jeans when you've been wearing shorts all summer.
If it's a sunny day:
White shorts with the baby doll top. Add a few acceseries with some converse and flats. Leave your hair down. It will be a cute, but a grown up, high schooler look =]
If it's on the cooler side or raining:
Dark skinny jeans with a PLAIN tee that's a bit loose, not too tight (tight skinnies and a tight shirt is not flattering). Add a long unique necklace and chunky random braclets (some really cute ones are at forever 21.) Scrunch your hair in loose, flirty waves and clip half a section up. And for shoes, wear flip flops.
^This look is sophisticated and unique because most girls (in my school at least) wouldn't wear this.
Remember to have fun with this. What some other people are saying about sterotypes...don't worry too much about it. Be and dress to who you are. That way you can act like yourself and feel confident.
And keep in mind that you will be in class for 6 or 7 hours, so you will want to wear something that fits and is comfortable.
Good luck on your first day!

When i go out and ive got cool clothes on, ive taken time on my hair and a bit extra makeup on, i usually get tons of attention from guys and i feel so happy, but then the next day i go to school - school uniform on, messy hair and a little less makeup and i get called a munter!
It confuses me, but also i get so annoyed cos i feel that i cant prove to the guys at school that boys do like me and i can look hot.
Is there any way of looking cool and sexy in my school uniform?
And being able to make my hair and makeup glam in 10 minutes?

To make your hair look great you can use gels and mousse. If you can, take a shower in the morning and when you get out rub a towel on it but not vigorously, just nice and soft. Make sure it is damp and not soaking wet then put your mousse and gel in. Once thats in flip you head over and put it up in a big bun. When you go to school your hair will be drying itself and locking into place and you wont have to worry about a thing. (And if you cant take a shower in the morning, take a shower at night and put the gel and mousse in ect; and it will be fine in the morning.) Another hair-style you could do is to just scrunch your hair with gel and moussse. Once you can do this you can experiment with different styles and hair accesories.
To do your makeup you can just use liner and mascara and some gloss. Trust me this is allll you need. And if you cant do it IN the house do it on the ride in to school or just do it once you get to school.
Hope this helps. Good Luck

PS. Oh and the boys who only like you for your looks (makeup and hair and clothes).. SCREW THEM.They arent worth your time. They should like you for who you are not your looks :)

thanks for the help with the make-up. i just have a couple questions.

1. is this "M.A.C" place in Macys, etc. or is it a store in a mall?

2. DO you have to pay?

3. What is it exactly? (had a little trouble understanding (link)
Answer #1

You can go to their website :

http://www.maccosmetics.com/home.tmpl

And maybe to make it a bit easier click find stores(http://www.maccosmetics.com/templates/door/finder.tmpl) Just type in your zip code and click the state you are in( Im guessing your from the U.S. but if your not its a world wide company. So you can get their products almost everywhere.) It will list a bunch a stores that have M.A.C. They will always be avaible. + There wiicked nice :]

Answer #2

You will have to pay for the makeup, but the little tutorial they give you will be free. Their makeup can be a bit pricey though. However, if you don't feel comfortable paying big bucks there will be tons of other make-up counters to choose from in the same little area where the M.A.C counter is.

Answer #3

Its a make up brand name. Like Clinique, Sephora, Revlon, ect;

If you need anything else feel free to ask :)

im having a little trouble with make up .I have (medium) brown straight hair and brown eyes.

I wanna wear make up but not look like a circus clown. any ideas on what to do or any product ideas???

(link)
I have brown and brown eyes too.lol. When I first got my make up I went to the section in a NICE mall called M.A.C. Tell them you are just starting with makeup and you want a natural look. They will give you instructions on how to use the makeup and all the ingrediants you need. Once you start practicing with makeup you will be a pro at it and thats when you can start using mixtures of all sorts of colours. I suggest M.A.C. because its more of a teen centered place. You can find them at Bloomingdales( mainly), Macys, Filenes( closing though). I dont suggest you start using brands youd find at Walgreens or CVS because they dont look as good and last long. Its better to buy good makup with good quality that wil last you a long time than el cheapo brands that will do the opposite.
Best of luck. Need anymore questions feel free to ask. Caio
