Q: I am still stuck on this issue. As you could see from my past questions, I need serious help with this issue. My husband does not accept me for my baptism. Even though I was like 5 and have not sinned and did not know the difference as I do now, does that make it wrong? I feel like I am going to lose my husband because of this. He will not leave me. This is my personal feeling. I want my husband to accept me fully. We have difference views on certain topics in the Bible. He does not believe certain things I have to say. He is always right. How am I suppose to know which interpretation is the right one? Was I baptised wrong? Should I follow my husband and his belief for the sake of our marriage and our future children and be baptised in his church? We are both Christians, but different kind of churches. But I only believe in one baptism. Should I not be baptised and just suck it up and go to church with him and forget it? I do not want to have to go to different churches and how could I raise my child that way? He will not leave his church and allow us to be "one" as marriage should be. I am willing to do this. What should I do? I am so lost. I don't know if I should talk to a therapist or what.
Basically, Eph states 4:5 that there is ONE baptism - but which one is the ONE?

Base the answers off of the Word (not just what you were told), since you are both Christians:

What does the word 'Baptism' mean?
In the original manuscripts of Scripture, all the various forms of the word baptize are translations from the Greek word 'baptizo', which comes from the root word 'bapto'. The usage of these words according to Greek Scholars is:
'bapto'
(1) to whelm, i.e. cover wholly with a fluid;
(2) in the New Testament only in a qualified or special sense, i.e. (literally) to moisten (a part of one's person).
(1) to immerse, submerge; to make whelmed (i.e. fully wet);
(2) used only (in the New Testament) of ceremonial ablution.

In the Word, baptism was never done on children - only adults. No, babies have no sin! They need no repentance and therefore have no need for Baptism.

Also, check out biblegateway.com and read through the scriptures regarding baptizing

If anything, I would be baptized again - just a renewed mine and a renewed relationship together.

Q: I posted another question a few days ago about my Dad. But, for I think four or five years, I've been praying that my Dad would stop yelling. My mom has been praying since the day I was born that he would stop. He cusses, screams, you name it at me and my family. I can't take it. I'm crying typing this. I thought God answered all prayers. Why can't he answer this one?
Been there, done that. It didn't get any better for me.

What I ended up doing when the yells and cursing was going on - I softly stated that if he couldn't converse in a nice manner, then I don't need to hear it. Then walked away, either to my room, took a walk outside or to a friends house.

God hears prayers, He wants you to prosper and be in health in ALL things. 3 John 1:2

But God doesn't come down to Earth and change people, your Dad has to take that step. Free will power and all that jazz.

But you can take the next step. Sit down with your mom, dad (both, either) or write a letter stating that you aren't comfortable in this envirnment and you feel (yadda, yadda, etc)

Next neither parent may not be up to changing and verbal abuse leads to physical abuse. Talk to a family member, a teacher or a counsler to see what your options are for other housing.

Q: Why do many non-Christians celebrate Christmas? Christmas is a celebration of the birth of Jesus, so I just don't understand how anyone who doesn't believe in Jesus could celebrate his birth just for presents. And why do nonreligious people have to celebrate Christmas? Why not Hannukah or Kwanza?

Also, why do people who only celebrate Christmas and Easter consider themselves Christian? (people who don't pray or go to church, but still celebrate Christian holidays)
Basically, Christmas really isn't a Christian holiday - its date is based off a pagan holiday. Its based of the pagans holidays Yule and Saturnalia which are winter celebrations. Most scholars also point out that Jesus wasn't even born on the 25th. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesus_Christ)

As for Easter, most holidays nowadays are for families to get together - not celebrate a shared faith.

Q: I've heard people talking about what happens before God returns. I've started reading the bible, but I haven't gotten that far where it tells you about it. I know that it says something about locusts and maybe hurricanes, but I don't know the details. If any of you have read it, what does it say happens?
The New Testament gives the details. Start with 1 Thess 4:16 & 17

16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
