My best friend got her wisdom teeth out and is kinda freaking out about getting a dry socket. She wanted to know how she would know if she had one and what it'd look like. Also she says her place of extraction is purple and red and i figured it was dried blood or maybe the clot but i wasn't sure so what could it be? Is the clot suppose to be purple and red? (link)

My sis had 2 of her teeth pulled last week.the socket was red at first, but after a while turned purplish redish and went away the next day. It didnt hurt her and it wasnt causing any problems so it must be normal.
