I'm a freshman and i think i'm workin myself too hard. I come home exhausted almost everyday and i take a nap. Then when i wake up, it takes me a few hours to do my homework and i'm really tired. I play a sport year-round and i think i might have to give up 1 or 2 of those sports. What should do? Am i working myself too hard? (link)
Def. dont quit your sports... when i do, my grades drop and i am always in a bad mood... sports relieve stress and they help you to keep a good attitude and good grades... if i wasnt in sports all the time, i wouldnt care if i was ineligable or not... so it helps me... good luck ~Jess~

How many people are on a typical volleyball team? And what are the names of the positions, and describe what each postition does. (link)
There are twelve ppl on the coart at all times... 6 for one team, and six for the other team... there is one or two setters who play right side, two middle players who are excellent blockers and hitters, and two left side hitters who are excellent hitters. The setters/right side players are good blockers also b/c theyhave to block the left sides from the other team... there are also liberos... or defensive specialists... they play in the back row for more aggressive or better hitters in the front row... liberos can play back row for two ppl at once.. but they can only serve for one person.. hope i helped at all ~Jess~

Sorry its so long.. but u need to hear the WHOLE situation to understand..

OK.. My coach and I used to get along really well. I play setter and I have for almost 4 seasons. Well.. im now on the high school JV team.. and theres another setter. OK fine. Well.. coach just GAVE her the position of starting (she didnt have to work for it). I asked him why.. and he said its because i dont work hard enough in practice. I argued with him about it for a few minutes and he just wouldnt listen to me. He said I need to work hard to earn my position. But in practice, I go out there and work my ass off. And this other chik just goofs off and stuff. None of our hitters like her.. and coach dont realize im the better setter (sounds conceided(sp?) but thats what all the hitters tell me)

I guess what im tryin to get at.. What can I do to prove to my coach that I really am workin my ass off out there to earn my spot in a game? And to prove that im the better setter on the team (link)
I know exactly how you feel and the same thing happend to me last season... my coaches are dush bags and she got to dress varsity for every game... she wasnt nearly as good as me, she cant jump, spike, set, bump.. all of the above u know... and her serves werent even very good... she was a bitch... but the reason she played over me was b/c she was popular... and i am not... she moved now and i start varsity as the setter... she plays up north and doesnt even start J.V. i guess they learnd that she aint very good after all huh? well neways she was such a biyatch that i didnt even like talkin to her.. and i worked alot harder than her in practice too... i played all of every J.V. game, and she got taken out in the front row... so, i think u should just see what happens and if ur coaches are as stubborn as mine, then there isnt much u can do except keep tryin to improve,... maybe next year they will realize how good you are and how much your team needs you... hope i helped... pc
