I run track and my shins are starting to bother me. I have a big track meet tomorrow and I really need some help on wha I need to do to help soothe them. Thank you in advance

it looks like you have some great answers first of all but if you need a little something else...

my physical therapist took lotion (his was heated but w/e) and rubbed it on my calf and shin.. then take your thumb and find where your shin bone stops and you can feel your calf on the INSIDE of your leg.. with the lotion follow that "break" (the 'groove' between the bone and muscle) all the way down to your foot and then back up to your knee.. keep massaging this area with the lotion up and down at least 10 times

then do the SAME thing on the OUTSIDE of your shin bone.. ((this "groove" between the muscle and bone is more on top of your leg)) do it 10 times and then do the other leg.. i know this was confusing but if you try it with pushing down hard enough as you massage your leg, it will definitely feel looser when you're done

if you have any questions about this please ask me good luck
