ok i have this thing about going back wards i get so scared to. and i a trying out for cheering and i go to gymnastics 2 times a week and my gymnastics trainer tells me that i am good and that i can do my back handpring by my self but i am to scared to. and like it weird like i taught myself how to do one before and i did it wiked good and then i fell on my head and now i am so scare to do anything backwords. and my trainer tells me that it is harder to do an arial then it is to do a bachandspring and i think that it isn't because i am notafrade to do anything front wards can any one help me or tell me a good way to get over my fear? Well, your trainer is right. Back-handsprings are SOOOOOOO much easier than aerials... i did the same thing, i fell on my head and was freaked out for a while. Eventually, as i went, my coaches would act like they were spotting me, and then as i went, theyd move their hands. If you are still scared, id suggest having your coach stand there and be ready just in case you need a spot or do it on a stingmat or small mat. If you fell on your head teaching yourself how to do it and you fell on your head, chances are you didnt do it right. Now that you have a trainer, everything should be fine. I am a level 6 gymnast and have fallen on my head many times doing backhandsprings. Trust me, just go for it or youll never get to do back-tucks and then the series roundoff backhandspring backtuck. Theyre really fun. So try and just relax yourself and tell yourself you will be ok. If you bend your legs, sit back, keep your arms tight and straight up next to your ears, and kep your head nuetral, i can guarntee you will be fine!! Hope I helped and tell me how it goes!!

cheerleaders or if you take gymnastics--

when you go for tumbling, what do you do there?..like stretches?(what kinds) and like for the tumbling what do they teach you??..please answer, anyone who can, it'd be a bigg help!..thanks, ill rate high! (link)
Im a cheerleader and have done gymnastics since i was 5 (now im 14). Im an all around gymnast, so I stretch for all events but i can narrow it done. Do splits, bridges, stretch your wrists and ankles, shoulders, legs, pretty much everything so you dont pull anything. Tumbling wise, it depends how advanced you are. Like, for your first time tumbling, they wouldnt have u start with a roundoff backhanspring. In gymnastics, i do front tucks, front walkovers, front handsprings, backhandsprings, back tucks, round-offs, aerials (no handed cartwheel), round-off backhandsprings, round-off backhandspring backtuck... and yea, lots of other stuff. If you drop one in my inbox, i can tell you what you could start off with! Hope I helped!!
