hi - i was the one who wrote about my dad and how i wanted to know he if he still loved me or not -- i want to thank you for the advice that you have given me -- you have made a difference -- but i just wanted to tell you that he lives like a million miles away from nac. -- do you think i should send him a picture of me? i want to write him but i am scared to ask my mom -- i dont think i can make any connection with him till i am 18 -- so what do i do this time? u cant be scared!!youl never make it any were being scared if you really want this to happen u have to speak up!of course you should send him a photo and a letter he might write back!!and if your mom says no you have to listen dont try to do anything to mess up yallz relation ship .if she says no u just have to wait till your 18. i know i know..........thats along time but you have to keep in mind shes your mother and you have to respect that

hi, im 13 and i have a lil problem with my real dad. i havent seen him since i was like 7 or 8. i have no idea where he is or if he is still even alive. i miss him alor but my mom has custidy of me untill i am 18. i use to not want to c him becauz he got remarried and i hate his new wife -- she hates me and my brothers -- he is a cop .. or he was when i use to c him, but i wanna talk to him so bad -- but he had a choice of me and my brohters or his new wife (she was abusive) - not like hitting but she singled us out so we told our mom - anyways he had a choice of us or his new wife and he said her - does he not love me anymore - i feel like cryin all the time --- plz tell me what you think

im am so glad you asked me i wasin the same situation on fathers day i broke down crying but i desided to do something about it .go to google and type in people search. and click one of the links and follow the directions. i did this and i found were my father was ,wether he had children if he has been divorced and an email adress. all from just google so try it!i am 13 as well .and trust me your father thinks about your ever single day and he blames himself for not being a good father .keep your head high because your dad does love u no matter what other people say! forget his wife! (if he is still married)he is your dad dont let her get in the way if u want to see your dad go see him!rember shes not your
mother!

My mom is an alchoalic..shes not the type that hits people but the type that gets drunk then lays down on the couch and passes out..but shes so embarrasing..like ill have a friend over and she'll be drunk on the coach and i dont know what to say! but my ? is how can i talk to her about her illness? and does anyone else have an alchoalic parent because i would really like to talk to some people and here there stories..so leave me your screen name so we can talk thanks! talk to your mom there are meetings called aa it stand for acholics anonamis (i think the spelled wrong)there she will get one on one help !she will get a sponcer and tons of people to help her there are conventions she can go to in aa . talk to your mom and tell her how u feel..some one that i know had the same problem and went into the aa program and has now been sobar for 4 years it really works but ur mom has to be willing to make and effort i guarentee there are aa meeting in your town call the local operator or look in the phone book
