What is the best diet to follow to loose 10 pounds in like 3 weeks.
Thank you

The best diet would to be eat MORE THAN 8+ servings of fruit and 5+ servings of vegetables a day.
Then for your non-fruit/veg foods, eat whole grains. ex--> whole grain toast with a JAM. do not eat cream cheese, butter, etc.
try to cut out all dairy, except for yogurts. no cheese, no milk. If you want to eat a whole grain cereal option like cheerios, I would suggest replacing milk with either coconut milk or almond milk. They are fewer calories and have more nutritious content then dairy milk.
ONLY drink water, juice, or tea (or coconut/almond milk!)..no milkshakes, soda, alcohol, etc!

Let me know if you follow this and your results. Losing 10 pounds in 3 weeks is definitely possible if you eat like this:) goodluck xx

Hi I'm 21/f looking to go on a no/low carb diet for a week or so. Nearly all I eat is carbs. Lots of pasta and bread and sugars. Not much fruit and veg. I'm not very good at cooking and also I am a vegetarian but I don't like lentils or
Tofu etc. I will not eat any meat or fish but I will eat eggs, milk etc. I don't know where to start. I have no idea what to eat to go on this diet and google isn't helping. Can anyone give me any ideas?
Thanks so much

No carb diets are very very unhealthy and dangerous, as carbs are the primary fuel (glucose) to the brain. Now HI-CARB diets are what you should stay away from, but it is not good to completely cut carbs out. For example, fruits have carbs, because they have sugar. This doesn't mean you should avoid them, because they are "good carbs" when compared to something like fast food carbs, which are empty calories, whereas fruits have high nutritious contents. Now if "all you eat is carbs," switch to whole grain pastas and bread.

EXAMPLE - A good breakfast:
Egg on whole wheat toast with banana, blueberries, yogurt, and carrots. Drink orange juice and tea.
This has carbs, but it is very healthy and will promote weight loss by boosting your metabolism.

Let me know if you have more questions! I have taken many college courses on nutrition and would be happy to help, or let me know about your progress! Goodluck:)xx

i feel like i cant poop why ?????

Increase your fiber intake.
I would start every day eating a bowl of fiber one cereal. Within a week your constipation should be regulated.

Increase your consumption of whole grains, fruits and vegs, yogurt(!!), and water and you shouldn't have these problems any more.

Goodluck! :)xx

Does any of you know how to get rid of dry skin on your face? What creams or other products can I use to get rid of flaky dry sking on my face?

I use vaseline on my face. Now you only do a very, VERY THIN layer, as if you were putting on lotion. The reason I like it is because it is all natural, and doesn't have any trace amounts of alcohols or acids like many face creams do, even the higher end ones. It will moisturize you right up! I swear, I have nearly perfect skin and I legitimately attribute it to using vaseline before bed. When you wake up, your skin has comletely absorbed it and will feel soft and smooth.

In the day time, I use the Cetaphil lotion. It is lightweight, and gentle.

Let me know if you use the vaseline, and if it makes your skin smooth in the morning!
Goodluck!! :)xx

I really really need to loose at least 10 lbs.

yesterday i had vegetable juice (i use a juicer and juice raw beats and carrots etc.) coffee with skim milk, salad with some tuna, and dinner was half a steak, i also had some grilled chicken and broccoli

today i had vegetable juice, a large coffee with skim milk, lunch was half a cup hoop cheese (sometimes called pot cheese- similar to cottage cheese but different) with some fruit, then mid day snack was 2 40 calorie vegetarian sauces with some avocado, then dinner was tuna salad and i had some of my mother steak. not a lot but a couple of bites.

i also walk as much as i can.

if i continue like this will i loose weight?

should i eat more or less or what? please help. i really really need to loose weight as soon as possible.

You will lose weight if your:
caloric intake < caloric expenditure

Now, a caloric expenditure for a day is about 1800 cals (now- AVG...if you want an idea what your would be for your age/height/weight, I can calculate it for you-just ask me in my inbox). Now this 1800 is WITHOUT exercising, from doing daily things like showering, studying, walking to class, etc. Now if you work out, it'll be around 2100, again AVG!

So, if you want to lose weight HEALTHILY, I suggest eating around 1500 cals for days you don't workout, and 1800 for days you DO workout. If you eat below this, your body may permanently lower your resting metabolic rate, which = you won't be as efficient with burning calories, and after you diet your body will put it back on.

Aim for eating 6 ~300 cal meals throughout the day. This keeps your metabolism active all day!
If you have any more questions, drop one by my inbox! I am a college student and my major is "exercise science," which is the equivalent to "kinesiology" at some schools. Good luck with your weight loss:)

I'm known in my family for "Putting salt on my salt,", or having an excess amount of salt on my food. It's awful; I know. My family and I make jokes, and they've become accustomed to the way I eat my food. What I do is, I'll be eating with a fork or something in one hand, while I use my other hand's pointer finger to eat salt. Like, I'll wet it slightly with my tongue, and dip it in a large pile I keep on the side of my plate. I dip my finger in the salt on average about once or twice per bite of food. If I'm eating steak or Chinese food, it can be up to four or five. I use my finger, as well as load salt on the actual food. And I put it on everything. I even have to load up my Ramen noodles with salt.

As I mentioned earlier, my family is used to this. But if a guest comes over or something, they can get quite appalled. My older sister's friend, who is an extreme health nut, ate dinner with us, and we were having steak (Well, my sister and him are vegetarians, but the the rest of us ate steak). He stared at me as if he were watching a train wreck, haha.

The point is, it's really getting out of hand. It's been this way since I was about 5. When I was younger, I would even pour salt on my hand and lick it. I can sometimes get these excruciating pains in my calf's at night. I hear that can be caused from a lack of Potassium, which in turn can be caused from excess sodium. I looooove food. Problem is, I love salt on like, 80% of my food. I've tried having a meal without salt once or twice, and I couldn't make it through two bites. Everything tastes teeeeeerrible without it!

I want to live a long time. I don't want to leave this earth from a heart attack. I want to enjoy my life, be a grandparent, die old. I know I'm slowly killing myself with salt. But, even with this in mind, I cannot stop. I've come to terms with it: I'm totally addicted. It tastes sooooooo good. So I suppose my question is... Is there anything I can do to stop this? I don't want to be that dependent on something that can be so lethal. Can anyone help me? Thank you for reading this painfully-long question.

I understand, I used to salt & pepper EVERYTHING, and then became a health nut, realized the serious serious consequences of excess sodium, and now only put black pepper on everything. I basically channeled it all into black pepper which I'm obsessed with:)

But this would be my approach for you, a 2-step process:
1) STOP ADDING SALT TO THINGS!!! Get used to this as an action, but still choose food that have salt so that you meet your cravings. You just first need to learn how to control yourself & not add salt. For example, prepared Ramen has about 40% of your daily sodium requirement, it is extremely salty and doesn't need any more added... being a health nut, the fact that you add more does sort of disgust me the way you said it disgusts others haha sorry:)
2) Once you master this, start choosing foods that are lower sodium so that you meet the 2300mg/daily requirement. Back to the Ramen example, I actually buy these "Herbox" packets which are essentially the exact same packets that Ramen has, without salt or MSG. Sure, they're not as good, but being the health nut I am, it's a sacrifice I make for my body:)

If you don't start making changes, you're body will begin deteriorating, starting at your muscle level, and put yourself at risk for cardiovascular diseases and diabetes.
Listen, food without salt DOES NOT TASTE TERRIBLE!! Come on now, that was a ridiculous statement:) Just like someone with a heroin addiction, you need to make lifestyle changes because your addiction is going to start taking its toll on your body.
If you need any more support, ask me a question! Like foods to try and such. My example is eat edamame soy beans, and yes you can lightly salt them! ***LIGHTLY****:) That way, it's a healthy snack that'll meet your cravings!
I wish you the best of luck with your lifestyle changes, and if you need any more help let me know!! I would love love love to know how your progress is going & if my tips helped you, so please drop one by in my inbox with some updates if you have any:) GOODLUCK!!xx

Sorry for the length. Thanks in advance for all answers.
All my life, I've always been that fat girl that always eats. 2 years ago, it got the best of me, and I started skipping breakfast and eating only a little for lunch. Then, I would eat a ton at home. It went on for a few months until I realized it wasn't doing me any good. Then last year, a started doing it again except I would completely stop eating lunch because I had honor society stuff to do. And it didn't help that I was really self conscious around my bf and two of my best friends at the time did the same as me. It was so hard to stop. After my bf and I broke up and I drifted away from my friends, I started hanging out with a different group that basically forced me eat. At the beginning of this school year, I started high school and joined marching band. We practiced at least 8 hrs a week so I didn't have too much time to eat. But now that it's all over, I don't really have any exercise anymore. I started soccer again this season (I had quit for band), but it definitely isn't enough exercise to cover for the amount of food I eat. And I can't help the amount I eat. I'll just be sitting there, a few hours after I eat a meal, and I'll just go eat. I eat when I'm bored. I eat when I'm alone. Basically I eat whenever I get the chance. And I know its not healthy because I take the big bags of candy and eat it in about 2 weeks and cartons of cookies and eat them in a few days and a few bags of chips a day. And I have no self control. I can't talk to my parents about this because my mom would think that I'm weak and stupid and just yell at me (like she always does in these types of situations) and my dad just eats and eats and eats too. I know we both have problems but I feel like I can't tell anybody. Is there any way that I can stop all this and gain back my confidence?

Start packing yourself healthy snacks to bring to school. I would suggest
LITTLE ZIPLOCK BAGGIES of about 2-3 of these per day:
-triscuits
-celery/tomatoes/carrots
-whole grain goldfish (there delicious, w/ more health benefits/less fat!!)
-dried apricos
-raisins
-trail mix, such as
walnuts, pecans, almonds, peanuts (NOTE*** nuts are very high in calories, all you need is a small small portion)
-multigrain cheerios (low calories, low sodium, fibor, iron the health benefits just keep coming)

BRING THESE TO SCHOOL, SNACK ON THEM EVERY HOUR, and DONT DONT DONT EAT COOKIES!!!!
the reason I say snack on them every hour is because this is actually a great way to lose weigh, by keeping your metabolism going constantly. The key is small, frequent portions.

It will take about a week to lose weight, but I would say if you stuck to this/healthy eating, you could possibly lose 3-5 lbs a week!

also don't drink ANY caloried beverages, only WATER, JUICE, MILK! no soda or anything!

let me know how the weight loss goes. I really hope you achieve your goals and make sure you eat lunch, very important. good luck:)
