Hi, this is Kate. I'm 17. My life motto is 'Live Laugh Love', I really think those are great words to live by and I'm planning to have it made into a tattoo. I'm not religious but I love learning about different religions. I write stories based on things that have happened to me because sometimes I have days where I just think 'wow that sounds like something out of a book'. I've finished 3 stories and I'm about to start my first horror story..very exciting. I believe in fairy tale love...the kissing in the rain, staring at the stars on the rooftop kind of love..Why? Because I'm in that kind of love and its been the greatest time of my life. And it didn't come easy.
I'd love to help you with whatever issues come your way. I've been in relationships where the guy was too old for me, the guy was my best friend, the guy just wanted to get some. I've been the other woman but I'm not proud of it. I've been the girl who waits years to be with the guy she wanted.
I come from the type of home where everyone seems okay and then when everyone leaves its chaos. My parents should have been divorced years ago and I can't stand to be around either of them so for now I'm going day by day, only coming home to sleep and counting down the days until I go to college in August.

Sooo, i want to get my nipple's pierced. I just want to know if this hurts badly, how long it will hurt. What size to get done, and should i get a boy or a girl to do it? I just want to know any basic info on it :) Thanks! (link)
| |
My sister in law has about 8 piercings and 5 tattoos in various areas and she said that her nipple piercings were the most painful thing she's ever done. She screamed. So all I really know is that they hurt like a mother f*****. She had a guy do it but I always feel more comfortable with girls when I get a piercing or tattoo. So I guess that part is up to you.

hi. im moving soon and i get the chance to redo my room which doesnt come very much. so i love vintage things. i was thinkin about having my room vintagy but with my own personal twist to it. i love red and black. so my ideas were that i want to have a whole wall of mismatched vintage frames along it. and maybe a whole wall red, or the top half of the walls bein red and the bottom being cream or something. i want other ideas please and please have a picture along with it. i also need new bedding so maybe if someone could send me links to good vintage beeing that woul dbe cool. thanks. (link)

I love that! Just don't make everything either red or black because I feel that it could get a little overbearing. A white or creme definitely sounds good to break it up a bit.
PB Teen is having a sale on bedding.
http://www.pbteen.com/products/suite-organic-duvet-cover-and-sham/?pkey=cgirls-bedding-sale
I have that ^^ in my dorm and it actually makes a dorm look classy. I just have a K on the sham and black with white polka dot sheets.
Oh I just remembered Urban Outfitter's "Apartment" section is fantastic for all things vintage.
Go find a thrift store and get some cooky old chair, paint it black and then you can find new fabric for it too.
Maybe your parents will let you paint a wall black? You can get chalkboard paint at Walmart, or probably Home Depot also. But that could be cool and then your friend's could write on it or if you're artsy you could draw your own vintage designs on it.
I think a chandelier would really pull together the vintage theme. Even if it's not hooked up but you just have it as a hanging art piece.
You could have a lot of fun with mirrors and glass. I love those lamp bases that are like glass balls (I have one). It looks really old but then I put a modern square black shade on it. Got that at Target.

So I'm really wanting a tattoo. I want it to be something small and classy that can't be seen if i'm wearing clothes. Also something very feminine. I'd like it to be something deep and meaningful that's kinda classic so i wont regret getting it in like 30 years. I know it's hard to give me good advice when you don't know me but anything is appreciated. Pictures would be nice too :) (link)

I got my first in December. It says "Live Laugh Love" in a font called scriptina which is a really thin swirly lettering and it really came out gorgeous. I got it because for my sweet 16 my best friend got me a tiny necklace with that on it and one day when I was just at the lowest of low (break-up, bad grades in school, etc) I looked at the necklace and decided that these are the words I want to live my life by. Live life to the fullest. Laugh at the mishaps. Love without fear. And it pulled me out of my rut.
I just tried finding the picture I based it off of online and I can't after looking through over 40 pages of a google search.
Basically you have to find something that isn't going to change in your life. And no not every tattoo needs to mean something but if someone asks "oh what'd you get that one for?" and you say "i dont know" well...its just better if theres a story. I came up with my idea when I was 16, found the style I wanted when I was 17, and got it done when I was 18.
If you find something you like whether you draw it or find a picture somewhere, hang it on your wall to let it grow on you.

I went to the theatre and watch the Green Zone movie last week with my boyfriend. In the movie, they started to panic and call off some information to each other about what they were after. During it, they kept saying things like Alpha Bravo and Zooloo (or zulu or zuloo or HOWEVER you would spell it). Are these army slang for location or something? I couldn't figure out what or who might be Alpha or something so...what did it mean? If it's army talk for something then can somebody tell me more army words just for future reference? THANKSSS (link)
|
Anyone who uses radios to talk to each other know that you can't always understand what the other person is saying. C's can sound like B's etc. So they use what's called a phonetic alphabet, alpha means A, zulu-Z etc. And they spell out words and information to make sure its clear.

i do alot of paintings on big canvases. i want to try something new, so does anyone have ideas of what i could paint using only four colors (including mixes and lighter/darker hues). bright hot pink, light blue, light aqua green and light medium purple. it does not have to be naturally thoes colors i can make anything them. any and as many ideas as possible would be greatly appreciated. i usually just do flowers or birds or some scenery. 15/f inspiration, any ideas, thanks!!! -blacksxeroses (link)

I do more abstract paintings that rarely look like anything but they come out pretty cool. I JUST finished one on an 18x24 canvas. Take whatever colors you want (I use acrylics) and with a 1"-2" brush just do vertical strokes. You can overlap the colors but just make sure they don't blend together because it'll lose the effect and probably just turn to a brown blob. It should be more like streaks of color. When you're done, take a spray bottle of water and spray the whole thing until the colors start to run.It looks cool when all the colors start dripping down.
I'd let the paint dry halfway before spraying it that way some of the color stays in place.

I am seeing a LOT of questions about weed and I just want to know why so many people seem to be SO into this whole weed / pot thing?
I guess the answer would come from answering what's it feel like to be high on weed?
Anyone able to explain it well? I rate! (link)

I've smoked probably about 10 times in my life before I called it quits. It affects everyone differently though. Most of the time it just put the world in slow motion and made me really tired. One time I had smoked a lot and kept saying over and over again that "the world is so soft". It made me want to touch everything because I thought it would be really soft. Deep in my mind I knew how stupid I sounded but I couldn't really control what I was saying or think of a better way to explain myself. I started smoking because I have blood sugar issues that make me nauseous a lot so pot really helped with that.
For most, pot just takes away your worries. It relieves stress, but only until the high wears off and then you remember everything that made you stressed. I'm not really sure why so many people are into it. I think it's become more of a social thing than anything.

I got this phone around August, maybe July. This phone is absolute crap! IT SUCKS. If any of you have this phone too and the same problem let me know and let me know if verizon has fixed it or has sent a replacement.
My phone randomly shuts off. Sometimes when im recieving a call! it's redicilous. I'm getting sick of it... this happens maybe 2 times a day. Sometimes more, sometimes less. And sometimes when it shuts off and i turn it back on, MY WHOLE ENTIRE PHONE IS RESET. All my settings are put back to default! IM GETTING SICK OF CHANGING EVERYTHING BACK. It's so annoying! I saw that people had the same problems on phone review sites but they just returned it withen the 14 day period, im way over it. Any suggestions? (link)
| |
Two of my friends have them and they called the company and they were sent a refurbished one for free I believe and you can get an unlimited number of refurbished ones if they break. Otherwise just get a different phone? Isn't much you can do about it.

I'm just curious.
All my life every time I eat ice cream, eat cereal, drink a shake or a smoothie, I ALWAYS start coughing and clearling my throat multiple times for like fifteen minutes after.
All of these things have dairy in them.
So I'm thinking I might be a little bit allergic?
I get link a pinching in my throat that makes me need to cough or clear my throat. It;s not like a break out in hives or my throat puffs up so I can;t breath.
So if I am allergic, it's extremely minor enough that I can still consume dairy products.
But like I said, I'm just curious, do you think I'm allergic? (link)
| |
My boyfriend is alleric to dairy products and when he was younger his reactions were almost deadly but now he gets what looks like a black eye if he drinks milk. There's many differenty reactions so I suggest having your doctor do an allergy test

im 5'2 and 100 lbs, and i started my period last month, and i thought you were supposed to start developing them before your period. not only that, but im 15. ive never met a girl who still doesnt have them my age and im starting to worry if i will ever get them. all the other signs of puberty are there, but i dont have any boobs at all- and by that i dont mean they're small- i mean theres actually nothing there, i might as well be a ten year old boy. i just want to know if anyone is in the same position as me or was but eventually got them, but any answers at all will really help. My best friend is your size, maybe a few inches taller and the exact same way but she's 17. I think she has a 32A now and she's still bigger than her step mom. She gained 10lbs this summer which helped. I was pretty much flat chested when I was 14 and now I'm almost 18 and a 34C and I swear they're still getting bigger. I know you want them but its just one of those annoying things that takes its sweet ol' time.
|
|
i used to be a 34B but now all of my bras are too small for me...i like push ups so would i be a 34C? or a 32C? like is the number a smaller c? cause i tried on a 34C and the cup was a little too big, i like my bras tight so i'd want just one step above a 34B...can someone help me out? (link)
| |
I didn't have a problem going from a 34B to a 34C but everyone's different. Try either a 36B or a 32C. The 32 might be a little small though. I've found that I can be different sizes at different stores so if a 34C doesn't work for you in one store then try another.

I'm 18/f and have wanted a tattoo for quite some time.
I've always wanted a short quote along the side of my foot, and there are only 2 things stopping me.
I'm not very pain-tolerant, and I know the foot is one of the most painful places to get a tattoo, and the easiest to get an infection. I've done my research. Also, the quote I used to want is much too long to get on my foot.
So here are my questions:
Does anyone know and good, short-esque quotes you could get tattooed along the side of your foot? [If you've seen a tattoo you think is awesome (small tattoo!) and it's not a quote, feel free to share that too]
And, just in case I decide that I'm much too pain intolerant to get it on the side of my foot, what are some other, less painful places to get a quote tattoo? Make sure it's a place that can be easily covered when I enter my career (I'm in college to become a teacher).
I'm not going to get one unless I'm positive, but there's nothing wrong with getting suggestions.
Thanks!

When I turn 18 I will be getting a tattoo on my wrist that says "Live.Laugh.Love" in an arc form. It's the quote I live by so it means a lot to me. I know a girl who has about 6 tattoos all over her body. She said the ones on her wrists didn't hurt, the one on her foot hurt the most, the one on her hand (the squishy part between your thumb and the rest of your hand) it just felt weird but didn't really hurt and the one on her lower side, the biggest tatt she has, didn't hurt until they got to the hip/pelvis area.
I think a song quote would be neat, not everyone would know of it. If you're religious then maybe something related to that. There's a design for The Tree of Life, that I might also get. You can always make up your own quote. Just make sure its perfect. I took at least a month designing my tattoo. Then I drew it on with a pen to get used to the idea of having something permanant on me.
I hear you on the issue of needing it to be coverable. If you have long hair then a tattoo on your upper back can be hidable. I have a neighbor and for at least 6 months I never knew she had a tattoo because she has hair halfway down her back but then one day she wore it up with an open back shirt and she had a HUGE tattoo all across her back. There were a lot of teachers in my school who had ankle tattoos and you didn't see them until the summer when they started wearing skirts.

I have medium length lightly layered dark blond hair. It is frizzy and wavy, not like a pretty curly hair but just frizzy waves here and there that kind of resembles clown hair!
I have a CHI straightener, which is supposed to be a really good brand, and the other normal stuff, hair dryer, brush.
How can I get my hair to look sleek, non frizzy and straight? Sort of like tyra banks, or miranda cosgrove.
Examples:

or

Is there a certain spray or shampoo that will help or a straightening technique. Something farily cheap?
THANKS (link)
|
I use a spray from Aquage called Beyone Shine. It adds shine when you use flat irons. It's not like regular hairspray thats going to lock in a style its really light and misty and just adds shine. It doesn't hurt to use some sort of sleek and shine shampoo. I have hair similar to yours. After I straighten it I also use a humidity resistant hairspray so my hair stays straight during the day, especially if I'm outside.
forgot to mention that you can only get aquage products at a salon. and it cost me $15 but it lasts a long time.

Okay, so I'm a 14/F and I would love to make money. I work at the snack shack at a soccer field for AYSO on some Saturdays and only get paid $25 a weekend for about ten weekends. Sometimes i don't even get paid. I don't get paid for my chores, and when I ask my mom for money she only gives me about twenty dollars, which isn't enough to buy anything at the mall. I can make a lot of things like bracelets and things. I'm a very crafty person, so if you have any ideas on how I can make money, it would be very helpful! And i don't want to do anything illegal.
Please and thank you!

The fact is that you're 14 and you're not going to get a high paying job. I'm almost 18 and I still can only get jobs that are minimum wage and not many hours. The key is to save your money. If you worked every weekend at this snack shack and had your mom give you money once or twice during the month then you'd have $120-140 at the end of the month for clothes or whatever it is that you want to buy. I don't know many kids who get paid for chores, it's normally just expected of them so I wouldn't say you're missing out on that one. You're 14 so it's not like you have a car to put gas in or pay insurance for, its basically just your shopping trips that you want money for which is understandable. My best advice to you would be to get your working papers if you don't already have them and go out and get a job. It's not going to be the greatest job or most fun but it's money and you're going to have to do what you gotta do to get what you want. If your town has craft fairs then you can make some stuff for that but don't count on it as a source of income.

i'm using paint for windows vista.
and i have a picture uploaded into paint..and i croped a seperate picture..what i want to do is take the cropped picture and upload it ONTO the picture i have uploaded..so it's like..overlapping it kinda.
i cant figure out how to.
anyway how? (link)
|
Alright correct me if I'm wrong and i'll fix my answer..you've got 2 separate pictures and you want to overlap one into the other..
Very easy. Save your cropped picture to your picture file or wherever you keep it then open up the other pic in paint. Go up to edit in the top menu bar and near the bottom of the pop down thing there will be an option that says 'paste from' click that..it will then open a browse box where you will go find your cropped picture and hit ok or insert or whatever it says.
And ta-da! That's how it works. I'm not at my own vista computer at the moment but I'm 99% sure its under edit.

What hotels in America put chocolate under your pillow? I've never seen it done! (link)

i feel like a lump
what do you guys *really* do each day? (not counting eating, showering, sleeping of course)
i hate when people ask me what i am up to because really, i don't do anything except like watch tv. and being at home during the summer while in college sucks bc no one else is around and its hard to get a job nowadays (link)
|
I've been feeling the same way. Although I've had a really good summer so far I feel like I've been a huge bum.
So my day(everyday)goes like this:
Wake up around noon, take a shower, drive to my boyfriend's house, hang out with him (play pool, watch tv...watch more tv, other bf/gf stuff..) and then I go home between midnight-2am and my parents are asleep so I go on my computer (like I am now) and check my myspace, email, this site,facebook...all that stuff, then I go to bed right before the sun rises and do it all again the next day.

Does Woodstock still exist or what? I remember some years ago watching the Woodstock concert thing on TV and it was a big mess. I'm not really interested in Woodstock but I was just curious if it still happened and when. I was thinking it was a yearly summer thing but I never hear about it anymore so thought maybe it was completely over with for good. (link)
| |
Woodstock was 40 years ago. August 15-17th of 1969 in Bethel, NY. I actually live 15 minutes away from the site. Now its called Bethel Woods Center for the Arts and its a concert arena. But it used to be just a lot of farm land that they had the concert at. They weren't expecting nearly as many people that's why it was such a mess. People parked their cars on the highway and walked 10 miles to the concert because that was the closest they could get. The entire county was affected (Sullivan County). Its not still going on but people have small yearly celebrations during the August dates.

If you're sending out a letter well I've been doing that since i was six so there's no problem with that but if you send out a package that'll cost money as long as its paid for with cash you won't have a problem.

I am going to be flying by myself overseas this summer. I have flown overseas before, but never by myself (the last time being last year).
I am not afraid of the actual flying part, but I am pretty scared about getting lost in the airport (I might be flying through Chicago... that airport is HUGE), missing my flight, having my stuff stolen (especially once I'm overseas).
I'm smart and I do have common sense, but I would really like some tips and maybe even some stories of your own travels.
Oh, and yes I do know that there's people at the airport I can ask for help, but I would be more confident and feel more accomplished if I'm able to do as much as I can by myself.
Thanks!

I've been flying just about every year since I was three years old and in two weeks I'll be flying alone for the first time. I think the key is to be totally organized and get to the airport really early (2 or 3 hours before your flight). Have all your tickets/boarding passes organized in the order of your flights (if you're taking more than one). I know Chicago is a huge airport, if I remember correctly they have either busses or trains that will take you from one end of the airport to the other. If you have to take one make sure you get on the right one. Airport signs are really usefull with finding your gate so pay close attention to them. Since you're going overseas make sure you know the language. I was in the airport at Paris in an elevator and had mixed up the words up&down. Ended up lost on the wrong floor looking for a door that wasn't there.
So organization is key. Don't put valuables in your bag that goes under the plane. Stay close to your gate, (my mother always goes wandering off and we always end up getting on the plane seconds before it leaves because we have to go find her).
Good luck!!
