If I were to say something to my counselor or a nurse about my depression could they talk to my parents without my permission? I've been wanting to see someone about it but I refuse to if my parents have to get involved. If that is the case, who else could I see about it?

I've gotten called down to the drug counselor and regular one before and they tell you what they can and can not do and from what mine told me unless you are hurting yourself or thinking of it they are required to tell someone because they want to make sure you don't but if you're just depressed they can't do anything if you just talk to them and if they do you can sue them because it's like the whole doctor patient confidentiality thing.
