anyone know any mental pick-me-ups for someone who feels really depressed? (foods, activities, etc. don't tell me to "count my blessings" or "see a therapist" or "love myself" or something.) (link)
Depression is a cause of alot of problems, and can trigger off alot of problems. It depends what the person is depressed about, the best thing to do is take their mind off it, and keep them busy. Show them theres more to life and being depressed is a total waste of mental time!
Try motivating them...People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing-that's why we recommend it daily.

For every light side, there’s a dark side…
For every positive situation, negativity is not far away…
The only way to survive the dark side is to realise it exists and fight it!

Instruction does much, but encouragement does everything
