My boyfriend's birthday is coming up in early August and I need some gift ideas.. We will have only been going out for a month and a half by then so it cant be too too serious. Id like it to be something he can use and still get a laugh out of. [hes a funny person and likes to laugh] Any ideas for a funny but sweet gift for this boy??

i got my boyfriend (now ex) a SNL dvd. There's so many and it would definitely give him a laugh. I recommend "SNL: best of will farrell" one of my personal favs, good luck =]

definitely try department stores, you can find really cute dresses if you look hard. If you don't mind slurging a little bit i would suggest jessica mcclintock. She has a store at a mall near me and im always in luck finding cute dresses. You can also find some of her dresses in certain department stores, good luck=]

do you think it would be awkward to IM a guy that you liked for 3 years but havent talked to almost 1 year? i really want to start talking to him again. what should i say and what would be a clever way to talk to him again without making it seem obvious. also my friend said i should IM him just making small conversation then after a few times tell him how i feel and if he says he likes me too then continuie talking obviously but if he says he doesnt or doesnt say anything then stop talking to him so he'll feel bad do you think that'd work? should i try that? but how do i start talking to him again i have a 99% feeling he doesnt like me but he used to so it could happen again? how should i start talking to him again? thank you (link)

i was in a position like yours a little while ago. I say go for it, IM him and see what happens. I agree with your friend, start with small conversations and get to know him again, he's obviously changed in a year. If you feel comfortable in telling him your feelings then go ahead, but i would hold up for a bit and just talk to him as a friend. It may be hard to just be friends for now but later on he may realize that he likes you again, since you started talking to him. anyways, just go with what you feel is right, and good luck.
