I'm a really good singer. All of my friends have said so, and are threatening to take me too American Idol when I'm 16. And I love to sing. But when I go to do it in front of some people I get really nervous and choke up. Any suggestions on how to get rid of my nervous-ness??

pick a song you can really get into and understand (for me, it's Defying Gravity from Wicked) and...well...just melt into it. Become art of the song and ignore the people around you. Let the music take you away.

That's what I try to do, anyway.

i taught myself how to play the guitar 4 yrs ago. Now my friend wants me to teach her. Everything i show her she cant understand, does anyone know where she can go.like a website,or get a book, etc. she really wants to learn and i'd really like to help her. i'd appritiate your advice. (link)
Try getting her a professional teacher; since they are teachers by professions, they will probably be able to explain the guitar better then you can.

If not, maybe your friend just isn't cut out for playing the guitar. Don't give up, though!
