Hi,
My school prom is coming up soon and I have been told that a boy is going to ask me to go with him, this boy told me he liked me a few months ago and I told him I already have a boyfriend (but I don’t really) because I don’t like him in that way. After he told me, we stopped talking to each other because it was awkward, but recently we started talking again. Now, so soon after, he is going to ask me to the prom and I don’t know what to say. If I say yes I’m worried about what he will expect, for example do I have to stay with him the whole time and would I have to dance with him, because I would find that really awkward. Please could you help me with my decision.

Go to prom with someone that you will enjoy being with 24/7. No you are NOT expected to stay with your date the whole time because you may want to dance with some other friends and he may as well, but do not just leave your date for the whole dance, that would just be rude. Wait and see maybe there is another boy you would LOVE to go to the prom with, if not then ask someone YOU would want to go to. Don't feel pressured into going with someone you feel it will be akward with. Remember its YOUR prom =)

Hey ! Well i completely know what you mean Im always afraid of being rejected too but you know what its just a chance we all have to take. I mean if you dont do it now then maybe there wont be another chance ? And the spooky woods thing is a great thing to bring a guy too! Considering you 2 are friends also it shouldnt be hard at all to ask him. Id be like so what are your plans for this weekend ? he'd tell you bla bla bla or nothing, and he'll ask you what are yours ? and you say soemthing like "well i was gunna go to the spooky woods thing but my friends are going out of town, do you wanna go with me, i think its gunna be really fun" and i mean how can he say no to that lol.
