can you give me the meaning to these words to live by....

Different strokes for different folks
People who live in a glass house shouldnt throw stones
Thereis nothing to fear but fear its self
Its mice to be important however its importan to be nice (link)
Different strokes for different folks:

A clever way of saying that people will have unique interests and practices. In simpler words, people just do stuff differently.

People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones:

This is quite true. Similar to the "He who is without sin shall cast the first stone", it essentially tells us that it is impractical and illogical to criticize others while one has similar faults. Why? It would be like throwing stones at glass houses while your own house is glass. Sooner or later someone will break down YOUR transperant glass house with stones of their own.

There is nothing to fear but fear itself:

This merely advises that fear is a crippling emotion that is the only that can possibly keep ourselves from doing whatever we want to do.

It's nice to be important; hwever, it's important to be nice:

Simply put, being an important person is well and good, but what is more meaningful and useful morally correct is to be nice.

Come to think of it, most of those sayings are rather self explanatory, aren't they?

k so im starting hs in a few weeks. when im meeting new people nd talking to them ... what r some ice breakers? like what could i ask them if there is that awkward silence. what should i say or ask? please help, i'll rate 5s (link)
The thing about small talk is that it is almost always meaningless. Thus you really shouldn't worry about talking about something inherently interesting-- rather you should focus on just talking it up a bit until you know other people better. A surefire way to keep yourself away from those awkward silences is to talk about the other person. Ask questions-- about the other person. Make THEM talk, and when they answer the question, try to continue the subject as a piece of conversation.
