see theres this guy at school and hes really hot...we never really talk but sometimes he shows interest in me and i know i have an interest in him, but we've never really actually talked, sometimes i feel like shy around him and my face gets a bit hot, so then i dnt want to talk to him with my face red...but like my bff she said she liked him a bit, but shes extremely shy...like when she likes a guy, she jus obsesses over him and freaks out everytime hes near, but she never really does anything...so ya i dont want to tell her i like him...because i kno this is all jus gonna come around and bite me in tha a$$...i really want to get to know him better even only as friends...how do i do that?!

Sit by him in class, or pass notes to him, I know thats what I would do. If you don't want your friend to know don't tell her there are somethings that are best unknown. Just talk to each other, after you guys get real comfortable just talking at school talk on the phone. Once you get to know him and he seems interested then go for it. Its a all or nothing situation, and if he doesn't like you oh well its not like he will just say "hey! I don't think we should be friends" just because you like him. But if he does stop being your friend all because you like him then he isn't worth your time.
