Hi, I'm Elle and I'm 23. I'm still going to a community college but I don't feel like I'm getting anywhere. I have about 67 college credits but I know they don't mean anything if they don't equal an actual college degree. They are all under liberal arts. I can't find a job. I feel very ashamed, useless, and lame because of my current status. I really don't know what to do with my life. I felt so depressed today that I almost really felt like killing myself. I'm getting soooo old and I still have no sense of direction with my life. Anyone got any advice? God I'm so depressed.......... (link)

You are only 23! For heaven\'s sake you are still a baby! No one ever died from not having a college degree! There are women out there your age who don\'t even have a high school diploma! You are suffering from depression which has nothing to do with school. You have some very deep seated issues that need to be addressed before you decide to harm yourself. Get to a counselor immediately or if you are having serious thoughts of harming yourself call a suicide hotline or go to the nearest ER right away. Nobody will judge you. You just need some help right now that\'s all. You will not believe how much differently you will view your life after you get the proper medication and counseling! These things are usually caused by a chemical imbalance and pretty easy to treat. If you want to read about a good example of this read EAT,PRAY,LOVE by Elizabeth Gilbert. She suffered something very similar to what you are describing but she went on to write two best selling books! Really, once you get some help you will be okay just take that first step and get to a doctor! Life is going to turn out just great. You can trust me on this. Just make that call okay? Good luck!
