Hey, my name is Katie. I live in Australia with my fiance and 2.5 beautiful children. In my 24 years i have had many ups and downs. I've lost loved ones, I've suffered depression, I've been in an emotionally abusive relationship which ended badly, I've cheated and been cheated on, I've been homeless, I've had cancer... Thats just the tip of the ice-berg. I think I'm pretty well qualified to answer pretty much anything you throw at me.

My boyfriend and i have been together for 18 months so far, and we've been so happy. Although we are both content with each other, for some reason i feel more emotionally attached because I am a girl and I read that females release oxytocin while having sex..
i don't want to change him or anything but is there anything i can do to help him get emotionally attached like me? maybe he is, but i want to do something that will increase it.
I don't want to just ask him if he's attached to me. haha i mean, if we've been sexually involved for 18 months would you think he is? and is there anymore i can do to help increase his oxyticin?
I read that giving him a back massage could do the trick
and i also read about making out, oxytocin is transferred between two people.
does oral sex help men get attached?
like what causes men to get attached to their gf/spouse?
oh, and i'm also confused about receiveing and releasing oxytocin. tell me if i'm wrong but the way i read it, it sounds to me that girls receive oxytocin from their boyfriend after giving oral sex because semen is digested by the girl, therefore the hormone is in them? and also while having sex because semen is released in a woman during sex because semen goes inside the vagina.
but a guy can't receive a hormone after fingering a girl..? haha so if a guy gives oral sex to a girl can they receive it because a girl releases oxytocin when she cums and then he will consume her cum and get attached?
and does wearing a condom help prevent oxytocin from releasing?
i'm SO confused obviously.
i'm just really confused and if someone would just explain this all it would be highly appreciated :)
thanks guys:) i know it's a weird question but bare with me & my curiousity.
OK, well firstly there is no way to force him to become attached to you. If you have been with him for 18 months, im pretty sure he loves you. Isnt that enough?
Oxytocin is a hormone released by your own brain into your body in times of bliss or pleasure. It gives you feelings of happiness.
The feeling you have described is love/lust. It doesnt really have anything to do with the hormone released during sex.
The only way to know how he feels about you is to ask him. Or if he says he loves you then you know...
