Well Me and this guy have been seeing eachother for about 3 years now and ill be in grade 12 next year and the guy ive been seeing is in grade 10 right now but when i grad he'll only be in grade 11 and i told him i dont know what is gonna happen between us and told him i loved him and we will always be together in some way or another but outta the blue he gives me a promise ring and tells me he donest want o be without me even for a second! I dont know what to do he wants to follow me out to university and i dont want him throwing away his education to be with me!! (link)

so im going to tell you about my relationship it maybe helpful or useless but i am/was in the same boat as you.sorry for spelling.
alright so my boyfriend and i have also been together a lil over 3yrs, we started to date when i was a freshman(15) an he was a junior(16) im now 18 hes 19 im a senior c/o 2012 and he grad 2010 he stayed with me even though he has graduated and has joined the airforce as im still in high school hes being patiant and waiting for me, i had to move to florida bc my dad passed away so he did his best to get stationed as close as he can and hes in GA (we were in alaska) he is doing everything he can to stay together and to be honest our love is whats keeping us together the distance isnt a problem idk if that makes sense.. anyways my point to this information was. just because your about to graduate or moving doesnt mean it wont work for you guys, obviously he cares a whole lot about you and will do absolutely anything to be with you, i dont think hes throwing his education away i think he ment that after he grad and finishes high school he will move to ware ever you are to be with you. if you truelly love him then be with him but if you dont think youll stay together dont hold onto his heart and let him free. alot of people say long distance or after aschool relationships dont work but so far i have proven that wrong. and it really does if you put the effort into it. i do have to say it is hard work and it suxs not being with him everyday but just think hecould be the one you marry your high school sweet heart.(im marrying mine ;)) goodluck sorry if you found this pointless

That helped me soo much! because im getting ready to finish up my courses and grade and i told him how i felt and i think we are getting married!! Me and my boyfriend have been friends since we were 2 and he is not only my best friend but im hoping to be husband i accepted his ring and told him to say at his school and move in with me once he grads he's applying at the same university and i promised ill wait for him and now when i ever i look at my ring i just smile and know that even though we will soon be thousands of miles apart i know he still loves because of this ring! Thank you soo much i might have made the worst mistake of my life if i had let him go.
