My friend cuts herself.She did a couple of years ago too,but stopped.She has started again.I noticed today in math on her wrist she had about 10 tiny slits.I asked her what happened,but she said her cat attacked her,but she looked and answered nervous.What should I do? (link)

If she's trying to hide it and unwilling to talk openly, this is serious stuff for you to be carrying by yourself and not worth double guessing the best action to take. I think talking to someone who'd have an understanding of this sort of behaviour through experience or profession would be best. Maybe have a quiet word with your school nurse or a teacher you trust to be desecreat - ask to be kept anon in case she feels you've betrayed her confidence, which you wouldn't have done, she needs help but she won't see it that way till she's better.
