I've been a Wiccan for a little over a year and been with my boyfriend a little under a year. I really want to tell him about my religion but I'm scared that he'll dump me because I'm not Christian, or try to change my mind. I love my boyfriend to death and I want him to accept me for who I am. I'm just scared to tell him. What should I do? He's a Methodist by the way. Should I be wary when I tell him? Please help. If your boyfriend truly cares about you nothing will stop that. You saying that you're Wiccan won't change the way he thinks about you. Couples aren't always going to agree about things you are going to 'agree to disagree' on certain situations. You believe in something and that's okay. No one, not even your boyfriend, has the right to tell you what you can and can't be. Your boyfriend should support you in what makes you happy and what makes you feel like yourself.
My boyfriend and I agree about most things together. Even if we were to disagree he still loves me and still cares for me. I don't think anything would ever change that.
Just tell your boyfriend that you're Wiccan. If he freaks out a bit give him time to think. And if he can't handle it than that's his loss not yours. You shouldn't have to change yourself for someone else to make them happy. This is about you not him, so show him who you really are!
