advice

Okay so I'm a Sophomore and I've always had trouble with math..since 3rd grade. Usually I just mess up on the small things, but still.

My mother made me take Integrated math, like I did last year and I'm stuck with all the freshmen and it just makes me feel self- conscious (Which I already am in general)

I'm in Advanced English and Global and I just feel really depressed..I go to tutoring ever Wednesday..and I feel even more self conscious since my tutor I had since 3rd grade had to move back to Florida since her mother had a seizure of some sort ;/ I miss her a lot. I write to her, but it's not the same -.-

Any advice? I hate feeling the way I do.

First off I want to let you know math isn't my strong suit either, but noone can be great at everything we are not super human beings. You may be trying very hard and realize things still don't make sense and that's ok because it's natural for someone not to be great at something just like some people are really creative and others aren't no matter how much training they get. Don't be self conscious, walk with confidence, remember you are EXCEPTIONALLY GREAT at English and that is something to be proud off (i have trouble with English and math, I'm more hands on ) you will get to know your new tutor and you will get comfortable with math , you may not end up majoring in math but it's ok because your great marks in English will make up for that. Don't be too hard on yourself, And remember you know so much more than the freshmen in your class, there are many people who repeat courses and you have to understand that it's ok and remember all the things you are good at and excel at. Good luck!
