about
I'm just an average person. I love to help people out :) it makes me feel better about myself. I've been in a lot of situations so I can most likely relate to a lot of your problems. I know what it feels like to not have anyone to talk to about your problems, which is why i'm an advicenator. I'm ready to help people and be there for everyone who needs advice or just a companion to speak out to. I'm always here if you need me, don't hesitate to drop a question or even just a vent/rant note about a problem to my advice column inbox. I respond to all of them regardless of the topic. I'm upfront and abrupt about my answers and never sugarcoat. Take my advice or not, but i'm just doing my job :)Played volleyball for over 10 years, also a coach. I love to try new things. Currently I'm trying the new sport of tennis and learning about my passion of photography.

How do you stop yourself from having a mental breakdown, All i want to do is cry. How do i harden up and deal with it. I can't do anything!!Please help. Thanks
when you have a mental breakdown, your body is raging with anger, fear, sadness, or whatever emotions you have. your heart rate is racing and your adrenaline starts pumping.
The first thing to know is self-control. you have to control yourself. First control your breathing. breath slow, in and out. After a while, count your heart rate for a minute. then try breathing slowly and deeply and try to get your heart rate down.
you have to control your mind. close your eyes and instead of thinking negatively and being a pessimist, think about all of the good things in your life. Think of the things that make you happy. For me- its the small things in life. being with family, friends, going on bike rides, photography, laughing and smiling. those are the things that make me happy. when I think of those things, I become happy.
then you have to control your body. Instead of slouching on the couch being angry at yourself, or on the bathroom floor crying.. you need to pick yourself off your feet and control your body. Go outside and ride your bike. or even just sit at the dinner table with a good posture and eat. Instead of folding your arms at your chest (which is a sign of closure) try keeping your arms at your sides. when you see someone you know, instead of leaning on 1 hip, stand up and give them a hug.
I know all of this stuff because someone I know has a hard time with controlling themselves and they always throw temper-tantrums and have mental breakdowns all the time. you need to control yourself. have respect for yourself and be happy :)
