I'm just an average person. I love to help people out :) it makes me feel better about myself. I've been in a lot of situations so I can most likely relate to a lot of your problems. I know what it feels like to not have anyone to talk to about your problems, which is why i'm an advicenator. I'm ready to help people and be there for everyone who needs advice or just a companion to speak out to. I'm always here if you need me, don't hesitate to drop a question or even just a vent/rant note about a problem to my advice column inbox. I respond to all of them regardless of the topic. I'm upfront and abrupt about my answers and never sugarcoat. Take my advice or not, but i'm just doing my job :)Played volleyball for over 10 years, also a coach. I love to try new things. Currently I'm trying the new sport of tennis and learning about my passion of photography.

Soo I was in gym one day. We were doing our dancing unit, and we were line dancing. There was this guy that was always in the front row that always looked back at me. And yes, I know it was me, because he did it in the hallway too. But I had no idea who it was. Then, I found out.. I knew the name right away. He's a junior, (I'm a freshman, by the way) one of the best athletes around.. you know.. one of them jocks. I immediately thought I had no chance with him. So I added him on facebook and talked to him one night. I was surprised.. he was soo nice!! haha and when I asked him if he even knew who I was he said "not really I think you're in my gym class though." I thought that was good.. wouldn't you? I mean he knew who I was.. that was a start. So we've been talking for the past couple of months since then. He's also been staring at me like crazy in school, which has been weird, but hey, I don't hate it. One time when we were talking I told him that I was good at soccer, and he said "I bet I'd beat you" and all of my friends completely freaked when I told them about it, 'cause they thought it was a good thing. I did too, until a few days ago. My friend was talking to him and she told him that one of her friends likes him. He kept begging for hints and stuff.. but she didn't wanna give it away just yet. So she told him that I really liked him and thought he was perfect. But she also told him that he probably wouldn't like me.. we're complete opposites. He still wanted to know. Then she told him that I wasn't in his grade and he replied, "oh so freshman" and he said he knew who it was. This is the rest of the conversation: her: so should I tell her about this or are you going to talk to her about it? him: probably not just don't say anything. her: that bad.. huh? him: no im just not looking for anyone. Then at the end of the conversation he said that he didn't even know who it was. The last thing he said was "dont want to know". So that made me upset. Obviously he knew exactly who it was and didn't want anything to do with me.. right? After all of that happened, I sent him a message that said "sorry.. thats all I can say." and he claimed he didn't know what I was talking about. So obviously he doesnt wanna talk about it, or talk to me. But he still looks at me in school. A while back, like a month ago, everytime I'd try talking to him on chat and he wouldn't say anything, he'd say that he was on his phone and he didn't get the message. I believed him, but it got old. Today I tried talking to him and he didn't say anything. Is he "on his phone"? Or is he just ignoring me like I always thought he would?
Hey so i'm a senior in high school.
First of all, you should know that teenage boys are SO confusing! Don't even try to interpret their brains because they send so many mixed signals and its just so confusing trying to understand them.
So now thats all clear.. you need to talk to him. face to face. Not texting or IMing.. that just shows immaturity and shyness. If you see him in school, ask to talk to him in private. Then ask him if there's something wrong. tell him you've been noticing that something was wrong and just wanted to talk and see if he was ok. If you're brave enough, let him know how you feel about him. I definitely think you should let him know how you feel because it shows that you're brave, strong, and courageous. It will be a turn on for him and it will also let him know that you're there for him and want to be friends/or more than friends.
You mentioned that you're friend talked to him?? well there ya go.. don't ever have your friend talk to a guy you like to find out more info. even if its your "best friend". It just gets way too messy and they could be leaving out major details. Plus its immature..
communication is key. Don't just let it happen by its own. Figure out whats going on and talk to him about it. You can't just expect it to be ok on its own. You gotta make the effort. Otherwise, if you dont want to make the effort, then i say screw him and find other friends or guys to flirt with.
(Rating: 5) Thank you.. and I'll try to do that! And yeah, it wasn't my friend. It was me.. but he didn't know that..? Make sense?
