The reason it's called the morning-after pill is that you're supposed to take it the morning after sex. It can be taken UP TO 72 hours after and still be effective. If you're worried that you might be pregnant, wait to see if that was really your period. If it wasn't, wait a week or two and take a pregnancy test.
