It's been my experience that people who brag are usually insecure with themselves. This is often just an attempt to cover the insecurity. Maybe she defines herself by her belongings and lacks most other things...like a personality? Depending on how important this friend is to you, you can try telling her that her constant bragging is getting annoying, you can try changing the subject quickly or just stop hanging out with her as much. Hope this helps somewhat.
