So I started dating my best friend about a month before he left for college, which is four hours from where I am. When he left he said that we'd put it on hold, but when he came home a few weeks later we acted as if he had never left. The next time he came home was a month or so later, and he told me that he is way too busy with school and it wouldn't be fair to me to keep going. However, we unexpectedly(to both of us) hooked up before he left. I haven't seen him in over 2 months but we still chat almost everyday and in a few weeks he'll be back for an entire month. A close mutual friend seems to think we'll get back together for that time and then break up again when he leaves. I have very strong feelings for him and although we were friends before, I don't think I can go back to that. I want to tell him that I want to try to make it work but I don't want to sound pathetic or needy. I also don't want to just hook up all the time when he's back and not be together. It would be difficult to be try to make it work but I think it's harder the way it is now. Help? (link)

Thank you so so so much. I have been worrying about this for so long. I'm going to tell him how I feel and tell him that I don't want to be together over break if it's just going to end when he leaves. THANKS AGAIN!
