Since april, my best friend has been grounded for his grades. He's not allowed out, he's not allowed on the phone, or to use the computer. He became my boyfriend in June, while he's still grounded. It's been tough going out every weekend with my friends watching them hook up with guys, but never have I considered cheating or breaking up w/ him.
he's my best friend and i really don't want that, i just need to get through this. school's ending, which means that i won't see him every day anymore. He's still grounded (he was even grounded on his 16th birthday) and i don't think things are gonna get better this summer. (He was grounded cause he wasn't 'doing as well as he could' in school, grade-wise.)
He was on a computer today and we talked for less than an hour. I felt as if important conversation had to be forced, like there was no time to joke around, we had to talk about something interesting otherwise the time wouldve been wasted. He began tellnig me something personal about his past involving the cops, but it didnt hit me the way it SHOULD hit a best friend/girlfriend. I was thinking.. "okay, it feels like a kid i barely talk to is telling me his life story and i don't care."
I hate feeling this way. his parents don't care about his social life, obviously. I hate the distance, and i hate what they're doing. They're ruining us and i don't know how to cope much longer without going insane, without losing him as my best friend.. we're not as close anymore.. we barely just TALK.. it's just really depressing. and he's the first person i've felt so intensely about since i broke up with my boyfriend of a year, so i know he's important. i can't let him leave, but we're being fucking torn apart. how do i cope?

If you care and like him alot like you say then you'll stay by his side no matter what. Yes its going to be hard but if you really do like him then your just going to have to deal with it, but in the end things will work out but in the mean time try to find a way to express to him how you feel. Try telling him you really like him and you dont want to lose him as a bestfriend or boyfriend and tell him how you feel as if yall are being torn apart.
