Whenever I approach my cat she looks up at me and stretches out one of her paws until I start petting her. Almost as she is reaching out to me, Why does she do this? (link)
probably because she wants more affection from you. if you have only had her for a little while she probably wants to get to know you.

I've had her for 11 years :) She's 22 years old according the vet!! I love her
