about
Hi my name is Lee Ann. I am 29 years old and Graduated from Bethany college obtaining a bachelors of music. I am a happily married woman with two kids, ages3 and 2. I currently have six books out on the market, all of which can be found on amazon. The first is called The Leaf: One fallen heart and a burning desire, my second is called Avengement of Glory, my third is called Spiral of Enlightenment, fourth one is called Prodigy of the Immortal, fifth one is called Augment in the Realm of Darkness, and my sixth novel is called Bond in the Spiritual Heart. I started this advice column to see if I could give good advice. Turns out I am pretty good, better than I thought actually. I enjoy seeing people smile when I give them good advice and they use it. It makes me feel better as a person to help people. I want to make the world a better place and I think that starting an advice column is the right way to begin. Writing is a huge part of my life, without it, I wouldn't be able to function properly. After seven years, I think I have done pretty well as an advice columnist.
advice
Last night I came downstairs really late and saw my dad on the computer. I was walking through the house to go to the kitchen for a drink and saw that he was on some sort of video-chat with another woman. She had her top off though and my dad was typing to her.
Today I sort-of tried to see if my dad would tell me anything about what was going on last night. I said to him, "You were up pretty late last night. Was everything OK?" He said he was up getting some paperwork done for work. I couldn't really do any more confrontation about it but he didn't seem nervous at all.
Over the past month I've noticed my dad coming home late from work and taking private calls in my parents' bedroom sometimes. My mom doesn't seem to think anything is strange but I'm wondering if he is cheating on my mom.
Should I talk to my dad about this and tell him I saw him chatting with a half-naked woman? Should I tell my mom about what I saw? Should I stay out of it completely? I don't want my parents to break up or get a divorce so I want this to be handled properly but I don't know if I should bring it out in the open first. Advice?
You keep it a secret, your mom is going to resent you for never telling her. But she will also resent the fact that you told her but she will realize it was better to be told than to live a lie. The best thing to do is do some digging around and find hard evidence that he is cheating. He maybe looking at dirty sites or something like that which is completely normal for any man. I wouldn't say anything to your mother unless you have physical proof that he is cheating because you just accusing may backfire really badly.
(Rating: 4) I think this is pretty decent advice...the only thing I'm iffy about is snooping through his things to prove that he has been lying to Mom about being faithful. I'm not sure...should a parent believe their child when things like this happen? There's no reason why I would be lying about this...
