K so i want to know if what im doing is good enough to lose weight and if not then what i should do to lose weight so heres what i did this week and am planning on doing for the next couple of months

Banana & water before running up and down stairs as my exercise for 20mins and 5 mins of simple exercises

Breakfast: 2 egg omelet
2 slices whole wheat bread
green tea

2 bottles of water

Lunch: whole wheat cheerios
milk
grapes

1-2 bottles of water

Dinner: Weight control oatmeal
milk
carrots and dip

1-2 bottles of water

k so thats my plan and ive done that for a week and lost like 1-2 pounds in a week but i want to know if this is good enough to lose 40-50 pounds by june. Please make suggestions (link)
diet isnt everything, having a diet and a good regimented exercise plan works best. also, eating oatmeal for dinner is not a great idea, unless you plan on running 10 miles the next or you have a competition, thats why athletes eat spaghetti the day before a competition. eating oatmeal (high in carbs) right before you go to bed is unnecessary, can you reason needing energy to sleep? im obssessed with this type of stuff as im a serious athlete, and breakfast should contain mostly carbs, w/ some protein.. lunch should be half and half, and dinner should be more protein and less carbs, it just makes sense.. also, personally i advise against green tea bcuz its sort of like a thermogenic, ie. hydroxycut.. all it does is contain a shitload of caffeine to raise your body temp and basically sweat more. its only necessary to be used for serious bodybuilders right before competition, which im guessing you do not want to do at all. instead of green tea, personally id hav some skim milk or orange juice. and having coffee is just as bad or worse, it has more calories than green tea. green tea is basically the same as taking a caffeine pill, it might say it aids in fat loss and blah blah blah, but thats just the caffeine.
id definitly add more to the exercise program and prob join a gym if u can, and just hav a basic outline for the diet, thers no need to develop this routine, just make smart decisions,.. what i do, is before i eat something bad, i think, what hav i eaten today? and is it rly worth screwing up what ive done thus far?
