Hi, I call myself Ignatz after Dan Herriman's character in the old "Krazy Kat" comic strip. I'm 44, father of 3, husband to one, crazy about music and books and food and movies and history and martial arts. I've had some wild and crazy times in my life, and I figure I might as well put in some of my perspective.

I promise not to talk down to anyone or make fun,and I promise not to BS anyone. If you're old enough to ask a frank question, you're old enough to get a frank answer. Oh, and if you ask me a question directly, please be patient. I'll get back to you as soon as I can. My life's a bit hectic. :-)

17/f who are your favorite authors? i want to get some good books about romance. i am seventeen and a girl and i would like to know anyones favorite authors who preferably write about romance.

i don't like any books about popularity and garbage like that.

oh & i've already read like the whole twilight saga a million billion times. haha. (link)
If you like vampire romance, look for Chelsea Quinn Yarbro's "Blood Games". It's set in Imperial Rome, it's very well written, and there's plenty of romance.

Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum mysteries are also very good; good characters, insane plots, and some serious romantic tension.

You might also enjoy Paul Zindel's novels; they might be a bit dated, but the writing is very strong, they're often funny, and they're classics.

I'd also definitely recommend "Like Water for Chocolate" by Laura Esquivel. No vampires, but lots of cooking, some magic, and plenty of romantic tension.

Hope this helps.
