We are planning on getting our Marriage license in Iowa and it's good for 6 mos and I was wondering if we can still have the Ceremony in Michigan where our family is. I know a judge there and I would like to perform it in MI at a family members house and that way our whole family doesn't have to fly to Iowa...can I do this? Thank you. (link)

you sure can but to be sure contact your court house and ask them but as long as its done with in the 6 months than it should not be a problem
