Hi.

I am looking for my first job, and I'm 18. I've never had a job before because I couldn't balance school & work at the same time, and nobody was looking. A lot of places said they'd call if they had positions, but they never did. I have not graduated from highschool, nor am I currently attending school, because I moved out of my house, and it's too late in the year to go back. I am going to school for my GED in September, but would like a job to have some money until then.

I just have some questions. When they ask for professional references, who do I put? I have some references who are professional, but they're friends & I know some places dislike personal references even though that's all I have. I don't know what to put, or who to put. Also, since I haven't had a job before what do I put when they ask for previous employment? If I have never had jobs & they ask for a resume, can I still put together a resume?

I know how to give interviews because I have had one before, but I didn't get the job. If you have any information that you might find helpful, please add it. :) All help is appreciated, thank you in advance! (link)
well for professional references you could write down a few teachers names make sure you call them or you have a close adult be your reference. And as for previous employment dont write anything just explain to the person interviwing you or the person you give your resume to that you have never worked before. You can definitly put a resume together just go to google if your not sure how to make one. good luck :D

I haven't been to school in a while, so the majority of my previous teachers haven't seen or heard from me, and I don't have their numbers. :| But thank you for the advice! I appreciate it. :)
