okay well me and this boy used to be bestfriends. like sooo close he wuld come over all the time and talk on the phone with me and everything bestfriends shuld do. and then it became more than that for a while now. we just recently broke up and i have a feeling things wont ever be the same. he keeps trying to make a move on me even though we just broke up. i want to be his bestfriend like we used to be but that cant happen if he thinks we're more than freinds...i dont want to be mean and say i dont like you..but it seems like i have to....what do i do, what do i say? it's common for friendships of opposite sex to become a relationship, but the hard part is when they break up and someone wants the friendship back, which is your case. I believe that every relationship after a break up should spend some time apart and can be friends afterward. In your case there was a friendship before the relationship, so that shouldn't be hard, but you do need to give each other some time away from each other. The time really depends on you guys, some people take more time than others. Be honest with him and tell him how much you care for him as her friend and let him know you'll be there when he is ready.
