I just got a bible as a present, it's an NIV version. It's purple and green and soo cute, and I'm feeling...inspired. I really want to start sitting down and studying, reading, whatever you want to call it.
My family has a strong Christian background, but we don't go to church or anything like that.
It's such a big book! So...where do I start?
In the back, there are some lists of versus about Jesus' healings and things like that.
I just don't know where to begin. Some versus in the New Testament are in red. Should I start with those?
Do I even read the whole Bible word for word, in order?! Gahhh! I'm so overwhelmed. Please, help! (link)

Start at the beginning, where God started. Read a chapter a day, or more if you're inspired.
I would say a prayer for God to speak to me through his word and reveal the truth to me before I start reading.
