i really want a cartilage piercing but im really scared of a couple things ...
1. does it hurt when they put the needle through??
and does it hurt ALOT after wards
2. does it get caught in your hair or clothes?
3. how long does it take to heal and how long b4 i can change it ..some ppl say it take 1 year to fully heal is that true?

thankss in advance :)

ok.
a#1 it doesnt hurt when they put the needle through, but it does burn a bit, i think, for a hour or so afterwards, but advil will help with that, which i DIDNT take...
a#2 no, it shouldnt get caught in your clothes, but make sure when getting your hair cut or you even brush your hair to watch out for it, because when i got my hair cut, the lady ripped mine out before it was fully healed.
a#3 itll take about 2 months to fully heal, just to be safe, but mine was fine after 6 weeks.

and, not to scare you, but when i got it done, and some of my friends agreed with this, your cartelage may make a pop noise, but dont even worry!
and make sure you get it from the front to back, and NOT have the back on the side of your ear. it looks bad, and it may hurt if they get the edge of your cartelage. you can just ask them to make wure they do that, thats what i did. the only problem with it is that it sometimes gets sore when you sleep on it, but youll get used to it.

I want to thank you for all the information, and repay you with a warning. I got the piercing done and I developed some of the ugliest keloids you've ever seen. No more piercings for me! So not worth it that I have to carry this around for the rest of my life. I took out all my other piercings and learned something very important: for many of them the scars never go away! My Monroe piercing makes this weird V-shaped when I smile where the piercing used to be.
