I'd really appreciate answers from people who have actually BEEN pregnant, or are a nurse or something along those lines.
I'm not trying to say that other people don't know what they're talking about. I just need a REAL straightfoward answer, that isn't a bunch of myths.

Okay, I don't want to hear 'OMG YOUR SO STUPID!' Or any kind of lecturing. I know what I did was stupid, and irresposible. But, my and my boyfriend of 3 years recently had sex, it wasn't out first time together but it was our first time without a condom, and I'm scared I may have gotten pregnant. What I'm asking is simple:

What are the first signs of pregnancy, and when do they start? I can't rely on my period as one of them, bc that's irregular as it is. (link)
If you were on the pill, or any other form of hormonal birth control you should be okay. Usually those are about 99% effective for most women.

No one should ever call you stupid or lecture you, couples get caught up in the moment, it happens to other girls too. You aren't the first girl and you certaintly won't be the last.

Some of the early symptoms of pregnancy can include:
-nausea (day or night, not always in the morning)
-fatigue
-bloating, cramping
-swollen or tender breasts
-changes in the appearence of your breasts
-headaches
-unusual spotting

Keep in mind, these symptoms vary in different people. For instance, you may have 5 of those and not have the others, this doesn't really mean you're not pregnant. They can start anywhere from 2-8 weeks after conception. This varies too, though.

Take a home pregnancy test. Go out, or have a friend do it for you, and buy 2-3 tests. Some test kits even offer two tests for the price of one. Take one, and if it's negative, you're probably safe. Just to be sure, take the second a week later.

If you still don't get your period and you experience these symptoms although you are getting negative test results, see your doctor to find out what the problem is.

I hope I helped.

I seriously appreciate you being about the only person to ever see it as 'I'm not the first/won't be last'. Normally when girls come around with these types of questions, it's 'YOU SHOULD HAVE USED A CONDOM/BIRTHCONTROL. ROARRRR.' Haha. Thanks. :D
