advice
I'm 16/f and I'm half black half white and my hair is annoyingly difficult to work with. It's naturally curly and I like to use a flat iron to make it straight. However no matter if it's straight or curly it always puffs and it's really annoying. I've tried just about everything and curly or not it always turns into a big mess. Does anyone know what would keep my hair from puffing?
Anything will help,
MG
I know exaclty how you feel because I used to be going through the same thing, and I have that black and white hair. I don't agree with the persons advice below about the shampoo though. Im not sure how to answer about the curls either because I am still trying to figure that out (we all want those beautiful watered down curls but lets face it, not all types of hair can do it sadly). But for the straightening: it usalually all in the straightner you use, instead of the cheap-o walmart brand that aren't that good, I reccomend using a more proffessional straightener. If you don't know whats professional (don't always trust the ones that say "like the proffessionals use" erc.) Go to a salon that treats hair like yours and ask about their straightners (you might get the "you're damaging your hair speech" but whatever I do it and so do models and other celebrities). Get some nice heat resistence spray too though. If you get a perm and you notice how straight your hair comes out (its not all relaxer that does it) ask where they got their straightener and spray (because im sure you noticed a little spray action back there). I don't reccomend you doing your own perms because that's dangerous.
