so i'm getting mine done for my 14th birthday. cute i know. okay so can anyone tell me how bad it hurts in comparison to getting your cartilage on your ear pierced, cuz i got that done and it wasn't bad at all. (link)

The only thing that actually HURTS when you get your navel pierced is the clamps. It's a very harddd pinch that'll be held for like 30 seconds. When they thread the needle through, it feels UNCOMFORTABLE, but does not actually hurt. It's no comparison to the clamps so you might not even feel it going through.
To answer your question, cartilage piercing hurts WAY worse than your belly button. Trust me. But you have to be extremely careful not to knock your navel ring around because it basically rips the hole slightly and stings!
