advice

I'm writing an essay and I need to write about three times that I've completely just turned my life around or changed it, and what i got so far is pretty much 1) when i went from being a straight A student and loving school to hating it and skipping school 2) when i realized my friends were bullies and decided to totally change my friends circle

i need to write about these times in a way to make it sound funny, do you have any tips? I want it to be really lough out loud funny! maybe even a bit sarcastic.

Well, what I found, is when someone tries to be funny, they're usually not.

Some tips?

When you're writing, laugh at yourself. When you are able to laugh at yourself, people will feel more comfortable laughing with you especially on such a touchy subject as a life change. Let the reader know how silly you were for not realizing your friends are bullies, for example.

Be sarcastic. Blow things out of proportion.

Write your essay as if you were telling your story to a friend. Don't be too formal.

Stay true to the topic. Don't get carried away, this is an essay after all.

Let loose and have fun with it.
