I know this will sound strange.

But underneath that ''player'' there could be an honest and genuine person, guys often do that as they think its their way of making their mark in the world, and proving to the other guys they are bigger and stronger, even if the guy looks like the type of stereotypical ''player'' its not always the case...

He could be lying about everything to do with the sleeping with girls for the fun of it as you say.

Perhaps try spending some time with this guy on his own or texting him or anything that would contact him in a way where he cannot show you up in front of his mates and in a way that you can see the person he could really be.

i know..taht is what i do and that is why i like him so much. But my friends don't think it is a good idea to go out with him because of it, they don't want me to get hurt and this would be like my first bf and first kiss and everything so they don't wnat me to ruin it! what u say makes since and thanks..it helps..but i still don't know what to do!!
