Yesterday I started tanning , btw I'm 15 female. I have a semi-formal on friday so I tanned yesterday, today and will continue untill friday. I will stop after that and maybe go a couple weeks before summer but I'm not sure yet. I've heard about skin cancers and such but is it true ? And If i go only this week can that effect my heath? I'm really worried I'm such a healthy person and a comlete freak about this stuff. Should I just stop? Do you know anyone who has gotten skin cancer from tanning?? Thanks in advance ! (link)

Any amount of exposure to UV rays (such as those in tanning beds) can give you skin cancer. I do know someone who got skin cancer from tanning. It's a terrible thing to go through. I used to tan and ended up with spider veins because of it. It's not worth it in my opinion. Now I go for spray tans, it's much safer, and you get more color faster.
