throughout my childhood, I had severe bouts of depression. [to put it simply]

cutting, as long as she isnt doing it to be 'cool', or whatever the latest crazy fad is, is NOT cureable through psychiatry.

once someone has made up their mind to do it, there isnt much that can stop them.

try telling her how you feel, and how you're scared for her. knowing you have friends at this point is very important.

talk to her as much as possible- but make sure you treat her as you did before you found out. checking in every once in a while is more beneficial than nothing.

Try to steer conversations toward positive events, if at all possible, but if she brings up the subject, then talk with her about it.

One thing that really worked for me was seeing those worse off- volunteer at a shelter, visit a childrens hospital.

both my parents are doctors , so i know quite a bit about that subject . c:

and i don ' t like using capital letters : i find them pointless , though i can type in full sentences , and love to see others try , as well .
