There was a guy that went to my school that was my age and seemed to have a good, normal life... I mean, he had friends, girlfriends, good grades, played sports... and I just found out like twenty minutes ago that tonight he killed himself. I had only talked to him once ever. I just don't know how to feel right now. I don't know how to help my friends deal with this... I don't know much because there hasn't been anything on the news yet because it happened just a few hours ago. I guess I am just looking for words of advice, or experience... thank you, everybody. When someone you know commits suicide it is hard. But it is harder on his family. He may have seemed a 'normal' guy, as you put it, but looks can be decieving and you never really know what is going on inside someone's head.
The only thing you can do right now is be there for your friends. You can't help them deal with it, so to speak as every deals with tragedy differently. But everyon in your school is in the same position as you are. Every single pupil at your school needs to lean on each other now for support.
It is hard, but you will get passed it. Remember him in life, not in death. In other words, remember him as you knew him, not how he is now going to be portrayed.
